I have tried many kind of shampoos because I have oily hair but nothing worked,I tried Pantene, herbal essences, dove, vivie pro,and many other shampoos. Now I bought a shampoo 99cent and I think is the best of all other shampoos. My hair feels so clear, volumizing, non greasy. But I`m affraid can it damage my hair if it costs just 99 cent?If not I will use it always. It is from nettles and I have to comb just ones because all day my hair is so beautiful like I comb every 5 minutes.

I have seen several tests done over the years .. both in Consumer Reports and on TV news pieces .. and it is always the same result .. the less expensive brands do just as well or better than their expensive counter-parts. Use the shampoo that works best for you :) Good Luck!

Just because it is cheap does not mean it will damage your hair. Everybody's hair is different and reacts differently to shampoo. Personally, I tend to find the 99 cents suave brands work best in my hair and I am a cosmetologist! But the one thing I have noticed is build up will occur alot quicker with cheaper brands, so about once a month I give my hair a beer bath. This helps strip the build up not only from your shampoo, but hard water minerals and styling products. I have also found that it helps with the oily build up that occurs naturally. Alot of stylists will tell you it is bad to use a cheap shampoo, but they just say that because they want you to buy a shampoo from them so they earn their commission. So if your new shampoo works for you keep using it!!

Ask any hair care professional, stay away from wax based products for hair. It causes build-up and then is hard to get out. Can cause dandruff type problems and split ends. Also watch out for products with ingredients like Sodium Laurel Sulfate that is too high on the ingredients list. This chemical in amounts over 5% have been shown to cause cancer, but companies use it because it is a good surfactant (creates lather).

I always switch up my shampoos paying anywhere from $20 a bottle (Bath&Body Works wheat germ and patchouli shampoo) to .99 Suave shampoo. The price does not reflect the performance of the shampoo. If it works for you then by all means use it.

If it works for you keep using it. Just make sure to use a clarifying shampoo every so often to strip off the buildup caused by most shampoos. As a hairdresser, i use expensive and brands from walmart. It is up to you.

My wife bought a bottle of Fructis shampoo a couple of weeks ago. Look for it in a green bottle. It's fairly inexpensive and our hair looks GREAT!

every hair type is different and reacts differently to different products. so if it works for you go for it. you shouldn't worry about damage unless you start to see some. then of course stop using them.

Suave is cheap and I have been told that it makes hair rubbery.
