I no talking on your mobile is illegal but i havnyt heard anything sbot smoking???

Not yet. Although smoking in the workplace is illegal, so if you're working in the car, I guess it could be. (eg if you're a sales rep or courier or truck driver and have a passenger)

A company car, or lorry, van etc. does make it illegal because it falls under the no smoking in workplaces act. But it is not enforced at all, unless you drive a taxi and some taxi drivers have been fined for allowing people to smoke in their cars.

Sorry don't know the answer to this one but feel it should be illegal just as mobile phones are. It is just as distracting to get a cigarette out of its packet, find a match/lighter and light up as it is to pick up a mobile and answer it.

It is not illegal to smoke cigars, cigarettes (or a pipe) while driving a car in Ireland.
Something tells me you ain't gonna be smoking a pipe!

No way, you can smoke or drink alcohol while driving in Ireland. P.s.: Ireland is a proper noun and should be capitalized in your statement, along with the first letter of the sentence, in this case Is.

no but it against the law to flick ur cigarette butt out the window. u cant smoke if u drive a vehicle for work purposes ie taxi or lorry

smoking in your own car is legal as far as i know not sure about a company car

technically you can still smoke crack and drive in Europe but cigarettes are right out- those things destroy you!
