I would suggest any 4x4 that has a neutral mode for the transfer case. This completely disengages the wheels from the transmission. Look at the Jeep line.
Or you should get the drive wheels off the ground when you tow the vehicle with a tow dolly.
Most manufacturers do not reccomend flat towing for more than 50 miles and less than 50mph. This would be a problem for long distances.

Usually front wheel drive cars on a dolly are used in back of RVs
For 4 wheels planted on the ground, unless you want to remove the driveshaft on rear wheel vehicles (Front wheel cars and Rear wheel vehicles with the driveshaft on are not supposed to be flat towed more than the 50 miles)
AWD vehicles can't be towed at all.
The only ones that are safe for that is 4WDs that can be put into neutral at the transfer case.... and with Ford that is limited to the F-series with manual transfer cases and the Explorer with a add-on neutral kit (about $50 and 1 and a half hours of labor that can only be done at a Ford dealer due to having to reprogram the transfer case computer)

Any vehicle, like the others said 4-wheel drive in neutral and the rest must have a lube pump for the transmission installed. Remember the pump isn't working when the motor is not running, the bushings in the trans. are not getting lube oil. P.S. front wheel drive can be put on a dolly, front wheels only!

Its actually possible to tow any vehicle..
but ford has a idea called "4 wheel down towing"
http://www.fordvehicles.com/assets/pdf/towing/07RVTTgde9-18.pdf page 12 explains the concept.
its not wise to tow without a dollie if you have an automatic transmission.

I think that most Saturns can be towed on all 4 wheels with no modifications to the car. I often see R.V.'s pulling them.
