My media player used to work fine till one day mpg's and all other videos didnt show up clearly.

I reinstalled, and it worked fine but then just a wee while later it got messed up again. The colours are distorted when you play them, but they look fine in the preview pane.

Its affecting everything like realplayer, divx etc. i havent installed any new software and my drivers are up to date.

any ideas?

i had that problem, turns out a virus was attached to my media player, and had rooted itself. run an anti virus on your music/media files etc. might sort it out.
