Hi there!

What kind of HTML do you want? I will give a basic over view.

Suppose you are using Yahoo! Mail. And you want to add a photo or Animated picture to display itself in the email.

For that, you need to HOST your picture in a file hosting website like http://www.photobucket.com/ OR http://www.fileden.com/

I like using http://www.photobucket.com for it. it's free to open an account. Upload the pics you want, and you'll receive a URL code for it. copy the URL. OPEN the URL in a NEW internet explorer window. (paste the URL in address bar and hit enter)

after the picture you uploaded appears in the window. Open your compose email in ANOTHER window.

1) Type your email

2) Click on the photo you uploaded (dont relese the mouse button) and DRAG it to the compose window in the taskbar. the window will open for you.

3) DROP the picture INTO the compose space! VOILA! animation/photo is in your email!

To add video:
I use YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/ upload your video, and after upload, right next to it should be a URL code and an Embed code. Copy the EMBED code. Don't use the URL. When your at your compose page, PASTE THE CODE in a blankspace AWAY FROM the text you typed.

For graphics and animated gifs:
It's basically the same steps as the video. The only one I've found that does is http://www.glitter-graphics.com Browse around on the site and locate the one you like, Copy the code for it, paste it into your compose screen.

Hello Lori!
I am sending a link on a nice simple HTML tutorial for you to try. It covers the basics of paragraph, font, color, pictures etc. This one is written for kids, but is actually very informative and a good starting point. It is important to remember that the photos need to be hosted somewhere, that is, on a web server somewhere. Most isp's offer free web space where you can do this. Also, the myriad of photo hosting sites can help you do this too. Just check their rules regarding linking photos you store there. Hope this helps!

The picture has to have been saved on your PC. For example, if you downloaded pictures from a scanner or camera, then saved them to a file, hopefully with the jpg extension.

Compose your e-mail, then click "send attachment."
Go to the directory/folder where the picture is stored, locate it, click it, then click "open."

The picture will be attached to the e-mail.
Does this answer your question?
