How do I know for sure they will pick up. Is it a leap of faith that when I call it will be them and not someone else and my parents abondened me and didnt tell me the new number?

Is this what God believers do, is say ok I believe in God just like I believe when I call my parents they will pick up?

Nope.

The fact that your parents either will or will not pick up and that result can be verified makes it a totally different type of "faith".

Faith in God never results in anything as concrete as a "Hello" from your Mum or Dad. It results in much more abstract and subjective things like "joy" or "peace" or "courage" and it's much harder to directly attribute those results to "faith" than it is to attribute talking to your parents to dialing the phone number you believe is theirs.

Of course, we could always look into the faith you have that these people actually *are* your parents...

Keep asking questions. You're on the right track!

I beliveve in God becuase, I do. Faith is beliveving with out faving to see some thing or have fax that make it true. And one more thing, I can pruve that God made the earth.

So, if evolution really happened, then

1.) how did it happen over a period of only 3-3.5 Billion years
2.4-2.9 Billion of which were spent evolving in to the SIMPLEST form of animal life, Then only 420 Million to get to the Oldest form of dinosaur and then an amazing 180 Million years to develop in to humans. It seems the more complicated the changes got the faster they happened... this seems a little counter intuitive doesn't it. Especially seeing that over the past 65000 years (using the same dating methods for everything else) there has been no change in ANY species, including humans, when there should be a change of at least 0.0361% the difference of the very first dinosaurs and humans, and actually more considering the rate of acceleration of evolution.

2.) Where are all the transitional species. Really there should be a continuous line of transitional species, in the order of 1000's of times more numerous than obviously distinct species, and yet we have a clumps of very distinct species. And no transitional forms.... something doesn't seem right here either.

Now those were the easier ones to argue away.

3.) Natural selection before there was something to select. If there was a primordial goop of amino acids, how in the world did they naturally and randomly combine to form even the simplest DNA, which is REQUIRED to replicate. More over, how did the proteins get created without the DNA guiding their creation. Proteins which the cell and DNA depend on to live let alone divide. Never mind the other mechanical devices required to create the proteins.

The fact is evolution doesn't have an answer and really can't answer these questions.

Certainly. I believe if I call on Jesus, he will help me with whatever I need. I have never had a situation, no matter how dire, where He hasn't stepped in when I really needed Him there. And over the last 2 years I have had some pretty dire stuff going on. I almost died, the next door neighbor set my house on fire along with several other things. She ruined 2 cars. The list goes on. Yet when things have gotten to where I thought I just could not take another step without just running out in front of a passing car, He has pulled me through it and enriched my life with something even better.

It's more like picking up a banana and pressing on the skin and believing your parents will speak to you out of it. Faith is believing in something for which there is NO evidence. You HAVE evidence that the phone will work, but NO evidence that you can make a call on a banana. If you believed you could make a call on a banana, that would be faith.

Having the faith of a mustard seed can move mountains .. I guess if you have faith that your parents will pick up .. you might have a partial mustard seed .. but if you believe that God will pick up the line each time you call out to him .. you've got a lot of mustard seeds going for you. I guess it's up to you. Good Luck! :)

No, i've got not, yet as quickly as collectively as I attended West Chester college I gained this call from this individual requesting Frank. I replied to the caller that he would desire to have the incorrect extensive type. He asked me to envision back because of the fact Frank became into "a-ight". I wasn't constructive what distinction that would make so I hung up.

You know that you have parents. You know where they live. They are real to you.Even if they are living in another country. The Heavens themselves declare Gods mighty works. Their is much evidence that He exists. The more men study science the more they are forced to admit to a higher intelligence. Yes God { Jehovah } is there!!! You do not have to see Him

If you jump out of a plane with a parachute on believing it will open, that's faith.

More akin to a belief in evolution, since it's supported time and time again.
