I do, I also sometimes wish for other things to happen, a friend and I (we both suffer from depression) call it passive suicidal thoughts. For me it's because I want a way out, where no one can blame me. I sometimes give up, but I can't bring myself to cause pain for others, so I keep going. It helps when I get that down to write a list of things I have in life, and people I have in life. I also once wrote down people that had been in my life, and what I learned from them, no matter the outcome from the relationship. I also now take an antidepressant and have seen 3 counselors, and I am currently looking for a good psychologist. Mainly it's important to remember the little things in life, a wise friend once told me to write down 5 things that were good about my day. It can be as simple as I woke up, or I got dressed today...focus on the positive things, the little things, they make all the difference.

I have been depressed, and in fact am now. But I would never consider wanting a car to run me down, because with my luck, I would be seriously injured and crippled for the rest of my life. I do not plan to end my life, but if I ever did, it would be more user friendly than a car hitting me.

Chow!!

No, not that depressed. I don't like pain. I can feel for you though. I have been depressed and actually have chronic depression. See your physician. Tell him/her exactly how you feel, but do not mention anything to do with "suicide feelings" because they will put you on the psychiatric ward until they feel you are no longer a "danger to yourself or others." On the other
hand, if you feel you are a danger to yourself and/or others, then by all means, tell the whole story. Depression is treatable. You are loved. I am wishing you good mental health.

I have before and the thought might be just for an instant like I should run a red light or run off a bridge. I am not depressed anymore and I was what felt like forever. Just don't act on it and things eventually will get better.

No, believe me life no matter what is to beautiful, it a present from God. Your life is your and you have to make everything for you to be good and happy. You should always come first and if you 're happy the world is happy. Don't try to make your fellow men be happy because that's impossible. Your life is the most beautiful thing in this world and once you loose it that it. So be happy no matter what. Remember their is always someone worse that you, so look back and see and that will give you strength to keep on going. I love you. Be happy.

Yes, I have been there as well. Always remember: it will get better! Be proactive about the problems in your life. Get counseling, if you need medication, such as an antidepressant, get it. Put yourself first. Always try to find one thing every day to look forward to, such as eating a food you like, talking to someone at work you enjoy, your favourite show, etc. Good luck.
