i dont know what happned? was it on the news or somethign or do alot of priest do it for a holy reason???

It was eight years ago when I heard about the priests molesting little boys. I asked my mom (I was eight at the time) and she said that priests aren't allowed to marry women, so they think it's okay to have inappropriate relationships with little boys. Of course, I was young then, and now I wouldn't dare start a conversation like this with my mother now that I am sixteen. That's what she told me then...so I'd go with it.
Thank goodness I am not Catholic.

They are sick and were sick before they joined the work of Priest. Some thought that if they joined the work of the Priest's work or types of work; the sickness would go away. The evil desire came out and they used their position to get to the children. They will be punished by God no matter what happens here. Some other Ministers, Pastors, & other workers of religion (s)have been caught, but it is downplayed by the press. Many people of the press & Congress are against Catholics because they lose votes and or want to live an evil life. The Clintons are a prime example.

It is not a result of any religious reason what so ever it is not the result of brain washing. Children are viewed a lesser helpless and must be obidient. Priest and other religious figures in chuches I believe think that when they tell a child that they must not tell that the child will not and a child can only keep this bottled up for so long until they tell a parent or someone most likely a relative becuase someone they trust outside there family has already hurt them. I was as young lady "used" and I kept that hidden until almost 2 years later and when I told it was very traumatizing for the boy and his mother.

There's no excuse for molesting children. I was married to a pastor and he molested our own little boys. So it isn't just priests. There are a lot of sorry bast*ards out there from all walks of life who prey on children. It's just easy for them to hide as the "good guys" in professions that are highly thought of: the priesthood, the ministry, teaching professions as well as health care work, counseling, therapists, dentists, doctors, chiropractors and police officers. Molesters are everywhere. They cannot be rehabilitated and we're crazy as a society to think they can. It's not a sickness nor is it an addiction. It's evil, pure and simple. And we need to start protecting our children better by being aware of the signs, by talking to our children, and by getting rid of these liberal judges who slap the criminals' hands and put them back on the streets.

Im Catholic...and No, its not for holy reasons. I blame it on the church not allowing the priests to be married. But when its children they are molesting, there is a problem. They shouldnt be in that profession at all. They need to be locked up and counselled.

Was it on the news?? Where have you been?? In a coma?? It was a huge scandal in the Catholic Church at least four YEARS ago and was all over the news daily, both in print and on television. It was nation wide. The priests were obviously NOT doing it for a holy reason, but were sick in their behavior toward children.

There is nothing "holy" about molesting children. They do it for the same reasons anyone else does it....they are pedophiles. They need to be punished like anyone else who commits these atrocious acts. They should not be able to hide behind the cloth to escape punishment.
