Hi! I have worked for Trader Joe's for the last two years. Hopefully I can help get this resolved for you. There are a few reasons why you might be missing out on your beloved Sharon's Coconut:

a - The warehouse is out of stock. When this happens there is usually a shortage throughout the entire region, if not the entire west coast. This is usually a supply issue; it is frustrating for the stores involved, as they have absolutely no control over this.

b - There are customers stocking up, buying twelve pints at once. (Yes, people actually do this. I once saw a man buy fourteen canisters of psyllium fiber for his digestion. Why?! Who knows why they do it?) In cases like this, when someone clears out something, unless a crew member looks at the shelf right after it happens, or the cashier mentions it when he/she sees it go by the registers, the order writer has no idea that it's one person, not twelve.

c - The order writer does not order enough. You can get around this by calling the store and making a special order. They will pull the product from the shelf and have it waiting for you when you show up. If you put in a standing order (some stores will let you do this), i.e. "save me one pint for Tuesdays evening pickup", you will always get it, no matter how many other people want it.

Hope this helps!

Write the company and ask! If it does not stay in the freezer that long, people must be buying it, so just inform TJ's that they should increase the amount they stock. Is the freezer area very small? I would just call and suggest increasing the amount.
