Prompted by an insightful question by the very honourable Jim Darwin, I propose that creationists are the devil's pawns, since they seek to deceive people to follow their man-made false beliefs, instead of accepting the direct evidence of god's own handiwork - The nature of living organisms themselves, as revealed by many different kinds of evidence, which all testify to any honest person the evolutionary origins of life.

Should we therefore castigate creationists as the enemies of God, and followers of The Horn-ed, Pointy-Tailed One ...?

Tools of their own stupidity, more like ... and of people who want to suppress intellectual curiosity of any kind in case it comes a bit too close to home.

If there were a Satan (which I doubt) I think he'd be laughing his socks off while working on other plans.

Often times, creationists are actually far worse than atheists by giving misleading advice or simply making a fool of creationism with poor arguments or no good evidence.
However, biology, and many other sciences, actually point away from atheism. Through micro-evolution, a dog can become larger, smaller, or many other small changes such as instinct, but it simply doesn't have the neccesary DNA to create anything new. All of what is inside a new species of dog was already there and 999 out of 1000 random genetic mutations are for the worse.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

You and jimmy boy are just too much. It's clear that the 2 of you believe the tall tales told by the pointy tailed one. God created the universe and everything in it. It didn't just happen. Creation is from God, not from Satan. No one has ever found the missing link because there is no missing link. We did not evolve from apes. God created us separate and distinct from apes.

The Bible itself specifically states that Satan is the God of this earth.

So, anyone who is following the Biblical God is following Satan.

The real God loves atheists because atheists are the only group that actually use what he gave us to use.

The love of money is the root of all evil.
Since the fear of religions is the loss of power (represented by money), then Satan has already taken them over.
Actually, though, the only true evil is action taken based upon Blind Faith, regardless if that faith is in God, government, or perpetual economic growth.

Aside from the mentally constipated, there is no conflict between creationism and the theory of evolution.

This applies even to the jack-christian view of creationism.
