I am 13 and my mom seems to dislike me more every day. She's called me "Disgusting", "nasty pig", and several other names. She's subject to slapping me when I tell her something I believe, and acts like I am not entitled to my own opinion. She's hit me every time she thinks I'm "Talking back", and when I cry, she doesn't care, but gets angry and asks me what my problem is when usually she is the cause. What am I supposed to do? It seems like everything I do is wrong! I've lost alot lately and she still doesn't seem to understand me.

You're mom definitely has her own issues with security. How can anyone call their child a nasty pig? I have two daughters of my own and I could never, ever fathom calling them that. Even though the slapping may be against the law, it is the emotional abuse that will stay with you your whole life. Do you have an aunt or a grandparent that could take you in? You should talk to a teacher or counselor at school about this. My sister was treated like that by my mother and it haunts me to this day. It wasn't anything my sister did. My mom seemed to pick on only her and my mom was treated the same way by her mother. It's psychological and your mom needs help!!!

Maybe she will understand u more when u r older ... and are more like the adult u think u r.

What u should do is realise that your mum has probably lost a lot more than u have (lately) ... and that if she really disliked you .. u would probably be living somewhere else.

Dr Bad
(i'm not sure how much a 13 year old has that she can lose)
i'm sure it will get better .. when u r 14 ;-)

Go to your school Councelor and talk to them about it. Looks to me that your mother needs help. Granted as amother of a 14 yr old girl, you may just be thinking everyone is against you. Go to the councelor and see what they say.....or call the law if she keeps hitting you for no reason.

Welcome to your teenage years, which is similar to "boot-camp" for the rest of your life.
She is the only Mother you have, and really, your best ally in life.
Do what she says, because she knows best. When you are 30 you will thank her.
