A leap of faith is proceeding with the idea, plan, etc when circumstances are telling you it will fail. It is believing God to answer the prayer.

Believing in something not seen or proven. Hebrews chapter 11vs1, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and not seen". You just believe and ask the Lord into your heart to guide you. If you do believe you do and don't need proof.
