Without pointing out names or avatars, I must say that I am sickened by the majority of responses. Not all, but many. You had the perfect opportunity to humble yourselves and almost everybody didn't! I asked, 'How would you feel'? Many, many did not even stop and CONSIDER the possibility. WHAT IF.....WHAT IF..I now have a better understanding of the state of affairs of your thoughts..Ugly thoughts people..And to those who said that they would make HIM prove it first..hohoho..You would KNOW it was HIM. To those who then said 'I would believe then' , I have but one response, "WHAT IF IT WERE TOO LATE????

I suppose it would depend on what he did and said upon arriving. I'm sure it would be on all the news networks so it wouldn't be any big mystery or anything. Also, would I recognize him as Jesus? I mean, how would I know it wasn't just some actor pretending to be Jesus? Would he provide proof (finally) of his divinity?

Assuming that he did provide proof of his bona fides, and assuming he said something along the lines of 'well here I am as promised and the end of this world is coming and stuff, and everyone who believes in me line up cuz here we go' I guess I'd get in line. After all, if he arrived and I believed it was him, then I'd be a believer by definition and we have no problem. How would I feel? Well I'd be sorry that the world had to end before humanity got things working right, and I'd mourn all the experiences I would miss by leaving existance as I knew it, but overall I suppose I'd feel pretty decent. I'd be surprised as hell, and I would have a LOT of questions to ask and I'd be looking for some long overdue explanations but yeah. Fine. Good. Next?

After proving he was the mortal Prophet that had Good words to say, I would take him to a service in every "sect" of christianity and then give him a big hug. The poor man would be in shock to see the perversions of his Words. If I got to take him to an audience with the Pope, hotdiggity!. I'd get to see the all powerful Pope on his knees, begging for his mercy for all the evil he has done. And for killing so many of "God's children." If we all had the free will to chose, how is offering murder and torture for NOT converting allowing free will to happen.

After giving Jesus a tour of the world's atrocity, I would take him back to my place and pray with him at the shrine of Mary Magdalene, and offer him condolences for the loss of his wife. Then after some dinner where we share a goblet of homemade wine (and I sell the cup as the Holy Grail on e-bay) we would seek out Jesus' VERY long lost family and try to end the day on a happy note.

By asking this question you assume that somewhere, deep down, that everyone believes in this person, Jesus. Unfortunately, you set your self up to be disappointed in the answerer's, because they do NOT believe the same way you do. Think about it-- if a "non-believer" met Jesus today....nothing would change. for example, try thinking about ALL those "non-believers" who KNEW or MET Jesus in person!, and yet, that did NOT phase them, they were "non-believers" JUST THE SAME, they didn't believe his magic tricks and claims of divinity. So, in asking this question, it would be silly for you to think that you can evoke some miraculous change of heart amongst the people who do not believe anywhere near anything you believe in. They are being honest with you, but in your narrow-mindedness, all you can do is come back with JUDGMENT.

In all honesty, I would probably convert. But it would take a lot for me to believe it was actually Jesus (who BTW actually DID exist, though i don't believe he was the son of God). I try to search for truth and so far I have found science to be the only real truth (though I do not dislike others because of their beliefs).

If there was a person who could perform REAL miracles, not some crackpot tv televangelist who says put your hands on the screen and whole stadiums of idiots show up to see him, then I might reconsider my views on religion.

Now answer my question.

How long, exactly, do you religious people plan on holding out for this to happen before you give up the cherades and relise that you are worshiping a business. Because thats all a church and religion is.

Came back today? The signs of his second presence (coming is a mistranslation) has been taking place for over 90 years. Did you miss it like the majority of Israelites did the first time?

I would probably have a team of doctors waiting to prepare conclusions of how this is scientifically possible and to make sure that he is well nourished and not dehydrated, etc, etc, etc... but forget about that ...

Most of all I would like to cook him a nice dinner then sit down and talk to him about life... and afterlife - he has such regal way of putting words together, like a gentleman, ask him if he has a message for me from my loved that passed, he will know how sad I feel and will tell me sweet things to make me feel better and because of this I will fall in love with him instantly and we will make love until dawn, oooohh ... but this is just a dream ...

p.s. ~~~~~~~I hope he comes to me first.~~~~~~~

oops! writing all this I completely forgot about my husband - WOW - it's a miracle!

Read the Revelations of St. John the Divine.

The second coming was a thousand years ago.

Absolutely astonished.

If Jesus DID come back, how would you KNOW that it was actually Jesus? There's been a number of nutters professing to be Jesus, and who knows, one of them might have been telling the truth.

You could ask him to turn water into wine, I suppose, but hey, David Blane could do that!

Those scriptures are so old, how can you possibly trust them?
