What programs are avaliable to track/log changes to your registry?

Hi there!

Spyware acn attack your registry and you wanna track it, right?

How about having COMPLETE controll over it? that is, when such a change occurs, you get an alert if you should alow it or deny it (The Zone Alert)

Then get this firewall called zoneAlarm! http://www.zonelabs.com/

And If you plan to protect your PC rather than sit back and watch the show, you can disable the registry editing by installing a software called Tune UP http://www.tune-up.com/ and keep the registry clean using Ewido http://www.ewido.net (this is free, but resident shield, gets dissabled after trial period but the scanner will work and is a state of the art software)

And when a spyware/virus/hacker/YOU/ try to edit the registry, it will say "Registry Editing has been disabled by the Administrator" Dont worry, You, being the Administrator can override it.

In order to over ride the registry lock: Reboot your Computer, Hit F8 button continuosly whilst booting and a list of options will appear itself, then select "safe mode". YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT A LITTLE WHILE. After booting, select the "Administrator" Account, NOT YOUR USER ACCOUNT (there will be another hidden administrator account viewable only at safemode)

Then clcik Start > Run > type "regedit" without Quotes and you can do all you want.

You have to do this if you wish to merge any reg-informatin file (*.gne) also.
