Dieting is rough. You just have to keep a goal in mind. Think about a number, don't make it too big. 10 pounds. 15 pounds. Something along those lines. Weigh yourself the same day each month. (Don't do it once a week, it's not a big enough reward.) Control your portions. If you think you've taken too much, you probably have. Fill your plate with vegetables and meats, then other sides. Don't be afraid to treat yourself once in awhile. Nothing is really off-limits, just moderate yourself. Have a slice of pizza, not 3 slices of pizza. Have a handful of Doritos. You get the idea. Try to get your family (or if you're alone, it's much easier) to eat salad before a meal. (Salad is good to eat before just about anything.) Most of all, TELL PEOPLE. Tell your friends, your co-workers and family that you are dieting. Don't be afraid of it. In the long run, it will help you control yourself. If they know you're dieting, they are less likely to ask you if you want dessert, fast food, etc. Good luck.

Don't try to restrict your food too much, hunger is a really fast path back to bad eating habits.
I go to the Slimming World club in the UK and on this diet you can eat at all times of the day or night, it's great for me as I'm always hungry, there's always something for me to eat. I never stop wanting the bad stuff, but it's much easier to ignore it when I'm full. Check out their website at www.slimming-world.co.uk and see if you can pick up some tips.
Eat small amounts often instead of large amounts at intervals. Calcium is supposed to help with weight loss too, take more low fat dairy products.
Try to keep your hands busy doing other things, I enjoy cross stitching, my playstation and the internet, all these things keep me out of the fridge.

The first thing is to stop telling yourself you have no willpower. You are setting yourself up for failure. If you tell yourself you can't then you won't. How bad do you want it? You need to get your mind more positive. Start visualizing yourself thinner and how much better you will feel. Just start exercising and soon it will not be a chore but a normal activity in your routine. Good luck honey! You can do it because you must realize how powerful your mind is on your decision to start.

All I can say is be tough, hang in there, and keep your eye on the prize. Enough of that, just try very hard. The only you will let down is you. I have gained a few and need to lay off the sweets for awhile.

Find yourself a dress in the size your aiming for. Not feeling motivated look at that dress in the mirror, keep trying it on, if doesn't fit you know you need to continue your diet..
