This was a trick by Satan. Satan was trying to deceive Jesus into thinking that he(Satan) was the master over all the Earth and every nation, but Jesus already knew what Satan was thinking. Remember Jesus could read the minds of the disciples and answer there questions before they even spoke them

How could Satan give away something that is NOT his? Satan is only the Prince of this World. He is known as the Prince and Powers of the Air and World. The world is Satan's Kingdom, only because God has let him run around freely doing as what he pleases to do. Although, Satan is restricted in certain areas.

God is in control over everything. He has the power to do whatever He wants. Satan's time is very limited and as Jesus kept repeating to the people, "The Kingdom of Heaven draws near or it is at hand."

Satan thinks he owns the world. He tried to deceive Jesus into thinking that the world belows to him(Satan). Jesus knew for everything already belongs to Jesus and God The Father.

Remember this, Satan is only the prince, God The Father is the King, who is over who? One reason why Satan fell is that he wanted to be equal with God. Nobody is equal with God, how can the creation be equal to the Creator? Satan wants to be his own god, in his own world. He doesn't want God's Heaven, he wants his own heaven.

wow that is an awsome question. ummm. Maybe Satan was talken trash and lying to him, to see if he could get Jesus on his side because he was so powerful and he really..did hate Jesus so why would he give him such a thing. Anyways, if Jesus did say yes then God would send him to hell..thus giving Satan the chance to torture him for eternity. He would love that, being Jesus is the son of God.

But the Devil must be seriously retarded because why would Jesus do that, he was all good and he had everything going for him, popularity and a gate open to heaven.

Another things is maybe that wasn't satan..maybe that was God doing a trick on Jesus like he did to adam and eve to see if he really followed him because remember the snake or w/e that talked to adam and eve... haha so much to think of hope this helps.

Yes satan controls the earth. He controls politics, religion, television, song's to lead people astray from Gods words of love, peace, and brotherhood.
First politics will turn you into a national slave if it can. Die for me is her song of endearment. Damn if people dont follow it too. "You are to love your LORD God with your whole heart soul and life, and have no other God before me".If you remember that command then you know you should not die for a country.
If you ever wondered whose idea religion was let me tell you it wasn't God's. See when you read the books of the bible about the meeting's between the believers, you see it was to discuss where they had taught, preached, spread the word. To reveal what the spirit had said to each in turn. Basically to have what we would call a old fashion home down. Where they loved God first then each other second. They were happy communally. The first hippies ever.
If I have to explain where Satan show's his colors in media then you would be blind and your not or you would not of asked this question.
I hope this helps clarify it a bit.

Your question supposes Satan does not lie. Is he not also known as the grand deceiver?

By the way, if I remain healthy and with the direction of The God I will rule this Earth for a time. Good luck to you all.

Yes he does. 1John 5:19 says that "the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." 2Corinthians 4:4 calls Satan the god of this system of things who has blinded the minds of the unbelievers. His rule over the earth will end at the battle of Armageddon.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Neither God nor Satan rules. We are free to make choices including abortion. God allows this. On earth you are free to do whatever you wish that IS a God granted right. Local authorities having jurisdiction have taken away some of those freedoms. God made rules for Christian living and has promised eternal life for those who live as Christians. God made no rules for non-believers and promises death for them.

Satan wants to rule the earth, but he is not allowed to rule anything unless it is a human being who chooses to let him.

In tempting Christ Satan lied to Him. Satan lies to all of us all the time. You know that, right?

He WAS in control; past tense.

Jesus defeated the devil in the wilderness.

Jesus then defeated the devil when He descended into hell and broke the power of sin by paying the price for all mankind with His shed blood to free all sinners from hell.

Jesus then defeated the devil when He rose again on the day, thereby defeating the power of death that the devil brought on the world when he tempted Eve to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge.

JESUS IS THE RIGHTFULL KING OVER ALL THE EARTH.
