Does one believe in Halloween??? What does that even mean? But yes, children still generally believe in Santa.

'Believe' in Halloween? What is there to believe or disbelieve about Halloween? You put on a costume and roam the neighborhood collecting treats. And yeah, they still do it, fortunately. It's alot different however. You don't see anyone under the age of 14 without a parent or adult escort anymore. We must protect "the children" at all costs.

As for believing in Santa Claus, I know adults who believe in Santa Claus. They call him by another name we all know well, but it might as well be Santa Claus....

I have 4 kids 7 and under. The ones who are old enough to understand the concept believe in Santa and enjoy trick or treating - although they don't believe in witches and goblins and such.

No but then I don't believe in lying to my child about the tooth fairy or anything either. We have Christmas but we do not celebrate Santa or Halloween........ why on earth would parents want to encourage their children to worship the day known as all hallows eve ............... talk about give your children nightmares lets pretend that ghosts etc are ok!

Halloween is not about the candy! though I guess its easy to sugar coat things and pretend its ok to celebrate the things that give our children nightmares!

Of course they do. What do you think all the glitz and toy sales are all about for both holidays. Costumes for Halloween and toys for Christmas. Where have you been that you are oblivious to all of that?? In a coma??
