Why would you let her take the fun out of you? If she doesn't want to go and dance with you, go alone and dance with EVERYBODY! you're too young to be worried about these things, life's too short.

I dont see the harm unless your intentions are to meet 'someone'. Dancing is fun, good excercise and being around people enjoying themselves in a good way is healthy. You'd look pretty silly if you got out on the dance floor by yourself. ;) so, yeah, dance with other people. Slow dancing; you can sit out on that at a school dance.

I would think so as long as you save the slow dances for your g/f, also do not approach women and ask them to dance, this implies that you are LOOKING and your g/f will not appreciate it. My ex wife and I handled it this way, if a girl asked me to dance I would tell her " if it's ok with my wife" the girl would ask my wife and get either a yes or no, and vice versa when guys asked her to dance.

Ask her how she feels about you dancing with other people when she's not there. And ask yourself how you would feel if she was dancing with other people when you're not there. And as for slow dancing, don't know, I'd only slow dance with my girlfriend. It would be so wierd with anyone else. For me anyways.

Dance "gingerly". Some - especially in this age group - can be jealous. This is not a question of OK or not. This is more a case of "How do you assess the situation and its possible fallout." This is part of growing up!!!

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.

I say yes thats fine. When my bf and I go out to the bars, I don't dance. I tell him to go dance with other girls. It doesn't bother me because I still know he is going home with me

You could ask her what she thinks of your doing this. And think about how you might feel if she does that? How would you feel if she went dancing with other guys. If you're okay with it, and she's okay with it, go for it. Some people are really touchy about this kind of thing.
