Non-existence, for me, is a better option than suffering [in hell]. That is why I would not wish to be kept alive if I were in a permanent, vegetative state. Why have my loved ones watch me waste away while they suffer a prolonged state of grief? No, I'd rather never have existed if I knew my life would conclude to suffering an eternity in Hell. In those situations, life is not a gift but a curse.

I would say neither. Hell was created to scare people into having morals or forever suffering in it. Non-existence will just be like before we were all born.

If I were non-existant, I wouldn't care if I was scared, I wouldn't be! And I am in Hell at this very moment in time, on this Earth. I am serving my "punishment" for not learning the lessons of Love, Honor, Peace etc, etc in my earlier lives. So, some places of Hell are scary, and some are darn right beautiful.
So, Neither.

Well the traditional translation of hell was Sheol or Hades which meant grave SO that would mean you would cease to exist anymore regardless of which way you look at it from the traditional writings of the bible

Hell would be scarier, because I'd be there to suffer. But I don't mind, because I don't believe in hell.

Nonexistence. I'm a strong believer in 'while there is life, there is hope', and in that respect Hell counts as life.
