only temporary ones, such as pregnancy, surgery or a broken limb. But once that is no longer the issue, you are expected to deploy with your unit. and they will send you out to meet them if they are already gone.

If you have a medical issue that prevents you from deploying permanently you may be chaptered out of the military, unless your job is one that can done from Garrison and that is vital to the branch of service you are in... or you may be required to change your MOS depending on the severity of your medical problem... it's really a case by case situation... try the following link:

temp. ones. prewgnancy, if you are non deployable you're out of the military. there's no reason for oyu ot be in if oyu won't do what you're train for anyway/
