call your doctor--thought I was depressed but I was a diabetic

For me it was this - I always felt inadequate in every way even though there was no reason for it. I was pessimistic about everything. I never wanted to go anywhere, even the grocery store. I slept all the time and would just fall asleep at any given moment. Eventually I started drinking alot and it got better at first but then it got even worse than before. That's when I started to have thoughts of suicide.

You need to go to a professional for help. He/she may put you on some type of antidepressant for a while but it doesn't have to be forever. It really is the only way. Do you know the commercial that says "depression affects everyone"? It is so true. If you are depressed other people can tell and it makes people close to you like family and friends worry about you, etc. Please get some help - there's nothing to be ashamed of. Good Luck

First of all, don't listen to commercials for anti-depressants. Talk to a doctor. Try to find a good one. I found one that specialized in girls my age, and it has been going really well. I personally don't trust or take medications. There are ways to get better without taking pills, it's just a lot more work. But it has been proven that you can re-program your brain. So, if you have a problem with medications, don't feel like there is no other option.

St. Johns wort,.....an herb that I used to get me out my personal hell and it works so that you can function on a daily basis and because you are functioning positively then you make better decisions and then eventually your head comes out of the clouds and your life is healthier because of those better decisions,....then there is no more need for depression in result no need for the remedy. I was done with my St. Johns wort remedy about 4 years ago and I am very stable living life to the fullest still. It helps also to have a close relationship with Jesus and our Creator,.....asking the Holy Spirit to fill you everyday as well.....you will feel loved and you will see that life is not about you but about the kingdom then you don't take things personally, when we take things personally we think that we are allowed the audacity to think that the world is about us and it is not, it is about everybody but mostly our Creator.

About the St. Johns wort "GNC" brand at rite aid is my favorite,....I was so bad that I took 1000mg.,.....but everybody is different there are 300 mg and 500 mg that you can use. This is so much better than drugs that the doctors prescribe,...please don't use the chemicals they only make you dependent of them.

Good luck and God bless! Please have happy days my friend!

Believe it or not, exercise and sunlight do help. But you should work with a professional on this.

Good luck!
