The cops have to run your plates and track down the owner of the car. FYI if your parents bought you your car, the plates will be traced back to them... that means that your parents are going to get a knock on the door. An other situation that can occur is that you could be subpoenaed to court. Then, you and the clerk will have to testify. 100% if the woman got your plates, either you or your parents will be tracked down by police. And yes, you can get a warrent or ticket in the mail.

First of all, smoking is a nasty habit and a VERY expensive one, trust me I smoke. Secondly, you're too young to smoke, so don't !! Now for your question, if the woman at the store is not filing a "complaint" against you, which I highly doubt she will, then you have nothing to worry about. A lot of people call the police to report things, but if they do not sign a complaint, then an officer has to see the incident himself so he is able to sign the complaint. Many people do not understand, that based solely on the word of another, the police cannot arrest, detain, search or otherwise ticket anyone unless they see the act themselves. Many people call the police anonymously or do not wish to file a complaint because that means they have to show up in court and they really don't want to bother. This happens in a lot of DUI's reported by people following in cars, even if they give the police the license plate number, if they do not wish to sign a formal complaint, the officer MUST see the vehicle doing something irregular to be able to pull it over. Otherwise ex-girlfriends, boyfriends, etc could call up the station all day & night with false reports just to get someone in trouble.

First off, don't buy cigarettes under age. Secondly, yes, it is possible for you to get a ticket later on. What law enfocement agencies can do (and what mine does) with that info is coroborrate that license plate number with the vehicle description. You can get this from the video cameras at the gas stations rather easily. Next, they will use their local police files, phone books, and even the internet to figure out who the car belongs to and how to contact them. From there it is pretty easy to find out who was trying to make the underage purchase. The officers will then either call or come in person to talk to your parents and decide if a citation is necessary. Your best bet is to wait until you are 18 if you want to buy cigarettes.

Probably nothing as they cannot prove an individuals perception of what happened. As you state the person was walking, this means there is no actual way for the person to determine how fast you were traveling. You might be contacted by the police to discuss the matter, but that should be about it. Since it is a public road, anyone has the "right" to travel on it, unless it is posted as a private road in which case the police have limited authority in the area.

I dont think that you are going to get into trouble "After the Fact" The store owner is another story he cant be cited as well as fined for selling ciggarettes to minors. It is still going to be a hard sell "After the Fact" the police will probably set up a sting operation to catch you and the store owner in the act next time.

Depends. If the police have more important things to do, they may not waste their time on this.

I can't read this gibberish. Go to school, learn to spell, and quit smoking cigarettes.
