That is a lie.
The Bible is used by Archaeologist to find lost cities, while the Koran is rather useless and is just a paper weight.
The Koran is full of hole, and muslims lie about that.

Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are based off the same things. The Bible, the Torah, and the Koran are virtually the same books (they are very similar). So in theory, yes.

Muslims may understand some facts about Jesus but they lack the "philosophy" that Jesus taught. They are aware of this and term it the "Injil" or gospel of Jesus. Muslims may read biblical accounts of the sermon on the mount or other of Jesus teachings to better understand his teachings.

I think that's true. These books communicate the core faith of the religions.
However, whilst one may understand the religion, it literally takes a "leap of faith" to believe it. That is the thing that cannot be communicated by simply reading the book.

I think it highly unlikely. I have read lots of the qur'an but I really wasn't AMAZED with it's adaptability to the bible. Still to the Muslim it is a Holy book and should be treated with respect.

They cannot understand Christianity, but there is enough truth in there that if they wanted to, could find Jesus in it. But it usually requires an ex-Muslim who converted to Christianity to demonstrate to them how the Qur'an can demonstrate the divinity of Christ.

Yes..and no.
we know from the Qur'an that some Christians say that God is Jesus and that some worship Mary too..and also some say that the Father, Son and holy spirit are three Gods..the separate understandings of the trinity as Christians believe..here is what the Qur'an says:
O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not "Three" - Cease! (it is) better for you! - Allah is only One Allah. Far is it removed from His Transcendent Majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender. "4, 171"
They indeed have disbelieved who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. Say: Who then can do aught against Allah, if He had willed to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on earth? Allah's is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He createth what He will. And Allah is Able to do all things. "5, 17"
And when Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Didst thou say unto mankind: Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah? he saith: Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I used to say it, then Thou knewest it. Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I know not what is in Thy Mind. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower of Things Hidden? "5, 116"
Also the Qur'an dnies that Jesus was killed on the cross as it says:
.....Then they went so far in their unbelief that they uttered a monstrous calumny against Mary: they themselves bragged, "We have slain Jesus, son of Mary, a Messenger of Allah." Whereas in fact, they did not slay him nor did they crucify him but the matter was made dubious for them. And those who have differed about this matter are also in doubt concerning it. They have no knowledge of it but they follow mere conjectures, for it is certain that they did not kill Jesus. Nay, the fact is that Allah had raised him to Himself, for Allah is All-Powerful, All-Wise. There shall be none among the people of the Book but will believe in him before his death, and he will be a witness against them on the Day of Resurrection."4, 156-159"
This verse is talking about Jews to avoid any misunderstanding.
So we learned from the Qur'an the major things that makes Christians different than Muslims but it is not enough to understand the whole Christianity from the Qur'an.
