Here is the story. I am a college freshman, and I believe I have a crush on this girl, who is very classy, nice, and always smiling. Both of us are in ballroom dancing club, and that's how I got to know her. I have known her for only 10 days, but I feel that she is the girl I really like. Whenever I meet her and talk to her, I try to find some common grounds and talk about them. However, I'm a little worried because I am not so humorous. I have recently noticed that some dudes have started talking to her. I can see they are trying to hit on her. My best friend tells me that they are ugly scrubs and that I should be able to "get her" as long as I have confidence. I am still worried though. I wrote on her Facebook wall several times, but she never wrote back. I wonder if this indicates her lack of interest. I know I should take some time to get to know her better, but I don't want to see someone else becoming her boyfriend. I need some advice. Thank you.

Go up to her in class and find out if she would like to do dinner or lunch sometime. Tell her you would like to get to know her better and that you have an interest in her. If she says yes, then go from there, if she says no, ask her if you could take her out as a friend to eat and chill.

ask her out what's the worst that can happen, she says no, come on grow a backbone and let her know what's on your mind. my father always told me that (nothing tried is nothing done) just be confident when you approach her

If you win her by not being yourself, you will lose her anyways. Be yourself and hope for the best, but don't be shy. Be confident.
