Okay so I've never dated any one my own age much less a year younger. But like he is soo sweet and affectionalte. We spend time togeather and I find myself just all smiley even when he's not around. But I have had alot of life exepereinces and am worried about "corrupting" him. Has anyone else ever expereinced this? And did it work out?

My friend did the exact same thing he is 3 years younger than she and they are going to get married next December, so maybe you should go for it. If he loves you he wont care about your past nor should you. Just as long as you two are happy that's all that really matters. Hope this helped.

Age (to in extent) is just a number. Now you were 30 and he was 15 then that would be a problem.

1 year is not a big deal at all. Most people a year older haven't gone through too much more than the younger person so you should be ok. If you like him and he likes you, you guys hit it off well then what's the problem?

DOn't go by the age, no one really cares anyway, and if they do,so what it's your life not there's. Good luck.

Personally I could never date anyone younger than me, I seem to connect better with older guys. If you do go down that path then be prepared for the possible differences in maturity level. I'm not saying it won't work out, but I've seen many friends that have dated a younger guy, and they always felt they were hand-holding him through relationship basics.

That is not what I would call a age difference when you and him are 1 year apart. How can you be corrupting someone a year younger than you?

Now if he is under 18 - and you are in your "twenties" - I would wonder about you!

My gf is VERY much like that. Things were going great, but I am still trying to figure out how, if we worked w/ it successfully or just ignored it. Things are a little rocky now b/c she keeps intimating what a sordid past she has but then won't tell me what the hell she is referring to. (Total BS!) So as for the working out part, it is up in the air, but I remain confident.

You are way too self absorbed. I'm willing to bet that you are not as mature as you think you are.
