I understood your question. It obviously refers to the subject, that is the role of using "it" in a sentence, unless you have the mind of a 12 year old schoolboy.

What sort of gardening are you interested in? Horticulture or design? Do you want to work selling plants (in a graden centre say) or planting and caring for them? Do you want to work in just one garden, or a range of them as a jobbing gardener?

Obviously, read as much as you can, and get loads of experience. Start with your own garden, which I'm sure you have already. When you are old enough, see if you can get weekend or holiday work in a garden centre, or can do work experience via your school.

Ideally, you will need qualifications, so see if there is a horticultural college near you. Below is a link to an example near London.
