It isn't easy but it is rewarding and fun. The infants require much more of your time because you have to feed, burp, change and hold them frequently. The downside is that you are exposed to more colds and flus than working in another environment.

No it not easy working with infant and toddlers. The infant are crying all time for on reason or another reason. Toddler are tiring to get into everything and anything. They do not set still very long it hard for them to stay focus for long periods of time. Working with children can have it rewards. At time it can very few and far between.

Yes I do love working with infants and toddlers. However it is not an easy job. Infants even though they don't seem to do much you must constantly check on them so nothing wrong happens to them (ex. if they're learning to stand they might fall and hit their head) Toddlers are fun to take care of also, but you must also pay attention to them constantly also. Working with infants/toddlers is nto an easy job, but the work can be very enjoyable and rewarding.

Ive worked with children aged from 6 weeks to 12 yrs and the infant toddler age group im not a fan off. They are more demanding but in a way that is frustrating because they cant always communicate what they want or need with you. But in the end its all a personal choice from your own experiences.

Yes and no, I've been doing it privately in my own home for 7 years looking after kids ages between 6 weeks and 5 years.
It is very rewarding, especially when the parents tell me they think that I'm doing a great job with their kids. And of course the kids themselves are very rewarding, when they look at me at smile, or they just want a hug, that really makes it all worth it.

But it can be very trying and exhausting too, like any job I suppose. Thought the hardest thing about the job is when the kids either move away or go to school and I don't have them anymore.

I looked after one little boy from the time he was born up until he was 5, I had him 14 hours a day 5 to 7 days a week and to him I was his mother. It was extremely hard when his mother moved to another state, but that is the only real bed thing about the job.

Working with infants and toddlers is not an easy job. Though its's fun to work with kids, it requires patience and understanding because kids and toddlers are very demanding.

It takes a lot of patience and a special kind of person to love working with infants and toddlers. So many of the 'caretakers' are not fit to do this.

No, it is not an easy job. Infants and toddlers are very demanding and require patience!!
And yes, I enjoy working with them, but I see it as a HUGE responsibility.
I don't recommend it for anyone looking for an easy job.

Definitely not an easy job. You have days where you think your head is going to implode if you have to say "Stop, use your words" or "Teeth are for eating, biting hurts" when you really want to say "STOP BEING SO HORRID!!" but then you have moments (sometimes entire days or weeks) where they're the most beautiful little people you'd ever want to know. Having said that, working four years in a baby room did make me feel a little bit brain dead - you find yourself absolutely dying for some two way conversation. Preschool is my favourite - they think they're so grown up, and they're really still so cute..
