Messenger 8 with voice won't download on my mac?

Question

I know there is not supposedly a voice version for macs, but in the voice section if you click "get messenger with voice" it goes to this download page (http://messenger.yahoo.com/download.php;_ylt=AgOCc03.fASUUndw_vTSYe7TnMMF) with 2 versions to download for mac, but after you download it, it is actually beta 3 with no voice feature. ??? Has anyone else had this problem?

Yeah, I ran across this when I was trying to download YM 8 for Windows on my Mac to transfer to my g/f computer with a slower connection. Anyway, It wouldn't let me do it.....It kept on going back to the Mac version. When they redid everything for the new Beta, they have defaulted everything back to the original computer detection, and have MISLABELED some of the stuff.

The current version for mac is 3.0b1 and not 8, but they give you a page for 8 for some reason. There is a page for 3.0b1, where is doesn't say 8 with voice. I think it is http://messenger.yahoo.com/ which is the detection page.

So, basically stop searching for 8 for mac, it does not exist (yet). Not sure if the final version will get up there with the same version numbers as the Windows (i doubt it), so keep on checking back for a final release.

The version of Messanger 8 for Mac is still in beta stage...
That mean they are still testing it...
Don't worry, there will be good version in 2-3 months...

Yep. Glad to hear you're having the problem as I thought it was me. Sorry to hear it's going to take another 2-3 months. I was looking forward to reading stories to my niece and nephew in Boston from London!

I truly have a similar concern as well. i tried using firefox and it would not make any distinction. What i'm attempting to decide is the thanks to ask those who do not yet have a messenger identity yet. all and sundry knows if it quite is accessible? when I had explorer i develop into in a position to attempt this.... thanks ahead for any information.
