Ok, over to a vote, no really good answers here. Yes, it is true that many Christians misunderstand Islam but this, in my opinion, seems to be from Ignorance whereas it seems to me that sometimes Muslims WILLFULLY misunderstand Christianity. The Jesus portrayed in the Qu'ran is incoherent and not believable.

Muslims love God Almighty. Muslims also love Christ. If Muslims are wrong on judgment day, their sin will be this:
They loved the Father and loved the Son, but did not call them father and son.. IF Christians are right.
However, if Muslims are right (and Jews are with the Muslims in this) and Jesus is being put as a god in front of the Jealous One of Israel, then the Christians are committing a far more serious folly, which is clearly forbidden in the Ten Commandments.
Here O Israel, the Lord is ONE!!
Do not put other gods Before the TRUE GOD is right there in the higher levels of the Ten Commandments, which get less and less severe as the position in the commandments gets lower.

It is the whole concept that they think that they have the teachings of Jesus in the koran and they reject the Bible. They can not capture the idea that by rejecting the Bible they totally reject christianity and all christians.
They somehow keep thinking that we have something in common with them and we don't. I think that generally they do not think "outside the bun" and don't grasp the concept that we are worshipping completely different gods.
I just got put below one of the (misunderstand) ones.
Why can't we get down to it that we do not agree at all and there is no compromise. I don't mean that we should fight, but that we should acknowledge that we are in no way talking about the same god.. never, no way.
One says they know everything about christians from the koran. That is so far from the truth that i can't believe that they posted it. Muslims do not even begin to understand christianity.
Christians & Muslims are 100% opposite in their beliefs..

It's probably the same reason Christians willfully misunderstand every other religion and atheism: Arrogance, religious chauvinism and an intellectually lazy contentment with what they think they know, or they would not be ignorant and gullible enough to believe in Eastern Monotheism in the first place.

I find all the muslim behaviour over the popes non comments disgraceful.
The problem is that most muslims live in 3rd world countrys were they dont know any better.
Its a wonder why the leave such lovely places like Iraq,Somalia etc etc as the muslim way of life is so great. Oh thats right ,free money and houses in the UK and the right to moan about the main faith in that country(christainty) without being shot!!

Not all Muslims do. It goes against the nature of all humans to think they may be wrong. That is the barrier that separates those who hear from those who do not. You first have to accept that you may be wrong. Unfortunately, we do not all have the same information and do not all trust the information we do have. I believe it is the way of Divine planning. Not all will go to Heaven. Not all will hear. Not all will believe. The beauty of it is that we do not judge who will go and who will not. Isn't it a better idea to attempt to understand as much as we can and teach from there. Generalizing is never productive. I know many Muslims who have converted to Christianity once the information was shared and they did their own study.

we know all things about Christianity because its mentioned in the qur'an there is Jesus(peace be up on him) stories and the prophets before.. but Christianity take there knowledge about Islam from the Media which just show us in badly..so I think:
Christianity seem to will fully misunderstand Muslims.

I think Muslims are trying to drag the UK back to before the middle ages they should dress as we do, and not go about in rags and tatters, if they can't speak English deport them back to Saudi Arabia I'm sure they would be happier, everywhere they land up goes a Mosque whether the locals want one or not it's time to call a halt. They believe that this country should be under Sharia law.

ur obviously the one wit d insecurites worryin about muslims. christianity is not misunderstood by muslims, we believe in the same one God and that Jeus was a prophet of God, just not that he is the Son of God because in Islam God has no equal, no partner nor son or daughter. christians misunderstand muslims wayyyyy more. look at the 2 most powerful men, bush and blair, du tink they kno anytin bout Islam? christians ind UK nd USA misunderstand Islam and just se muslims as terrorists, they completely misunderstand that normal muslims dont see terrorists as true muslims. so there. chrisitans r just as bad if not worse at misunderstanding

the truth,because christ don,t want understand us by reading our book and so they can respect us in our away,muslim occansionally have learn their holy book so they will understand christ but now the people who read holy book(both) and understand it just begin more lower and lower and someday the big war will came because the next generation have forget the faith that we have believe today!why?christ haveforget the truth in believe what they believe it happen since before rennaisence begin and muslim also being slowly get effect from what human create example media that always make use sex, propaganda,and many thing to make christ and muslim fight together!
can you believe 1400 years before chirst and muslim can live together even it still can see at that place today!
p/s:muslim and christ can live together if zioniz is no more exist.
Most Christians misunderstand and almost know nothing about Islam too, it seems that all they know now that Muslims are terrorists
