When I turn on the stereo, it asks for a code. I do not know that code, and the previous owner does not know it. I was wondering if anyone knew where the code was located in the car. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

if it is the stock stereo... it may be on the sticker that is normally in the glove box, that has the tire pressures on it, or in the owners manual... also if its stock you can drive to the dealer and they should be able to give u the code in a matter of mins.

if its after market, go to someone who is a dealer of that make stereo... not just a person who sells them, a dealer would be someone like bestbuy, a lot of the bigger car stores that have direct contact with the stereo dealers, not just some guy who buys a box of them and sticks them on the shelves...

i doubt that you will be able to get it online as they put that code there so if someone steals your stereo they cant use it... thats y they dont just put it online

If it's a factory original stereo, take it to a dealer. They can look it up for you. If it's after-market you'll have to go to an authorized dealer for that make of sound system and provide proof of ownership.
