Every time there is a question posted on here about "immigrants", that doesn't even mention any nationality, tons of people answer with remarks about Mexicans? But yet, these are the same people who sit here and say, "it's not about Mexicans, it's about all illegal immigrants"....hmmm sounds fishy... People say they are anti immigration but a better way to put it is anti Mexican... It's sickens me that our country has become this way!!!

Because dim-minded people steriotyped the word immigrant to bring the immage of a mexican, yes, they do make up most of the immigrants, but they are NOT the only immigrants, when talking about immigrants, all nationalities should be discussed, not just the major ones.

That is one of my pet peeves with this site/place. Not everyone does it but when some do speak the word Mexican pops out instead of Illegal Alien. Being I am a Mexican- American I do find this very offensive. When they insult them for whatever they are also insulting Mexican Americans.
It doesn't matter where the majority of illegals come from. When you constantly bash one country over and over it does not make up for the numbers. Some of us still have family down there. My grandparents live there, my parents retired down there so all these references to having 10 kids in 2-3 years ( a person actually posted that) and being diseased filled and illiterate kinda rubs me the wrong way. It's obvious many haven't been to Mexico or anywhere past a border town. They haven't traveled up and down the coasts and see what it is really like. They just assume since they are coming here from Mexico then the entire country must be one huge ghetto.
And for the ones that say, you are an American, you should show allegiance to this country and not that one, it's a heritage thing. If we are not proud of what we are and what are heritage is then whats the point?
Take your anger out on those that are causing the problem. The politicians and the businesses that employ them. While we build fences they keep hiring them. While we pass laws nobody seems to enforce they continually make money off of them.

Tuesday's report by the Pew Hispanic Center said Mexicans make up 56 percent of illegal immigrants. An additional 22 percent come from other Latin American countries, mainly in Central America. About 13 percent are from Asia, and Europe and Canada combine for 6 percent.
You can't dispute the facts.

Well the obvious reason that most immigrants to the US are Mexican, well could it be because Mexico is right next door to us? If China was right next to us, then most immigrants would be Chinese. But besides that, immigration is just a really difficult subject to talk about, because it effects all of us one way or another. I do believe that mexicans are discriminated and the reason why they want to come over here is to just have a better life, for their children to have a better life such as getting a education that is not available to them like is is in the states, medical, I could go on and on . I'm finished now, thanks for reading. :) Sorry if I went off the subject a bit, it just comes really close to home
