When you ask a friend who just came back from a casino how they did, do they either say that they won great or that they just did OK? Is just OK their way of avoiding admitting that they lost so much they don’t want to tell you how bad it was? Is that a sign of a problem or is it human nature?

Most non-professional gamblers want to brag when they've won & can't wait to tell you how much, but any that say; i did ok, alright, not bad, had fun, ate good food, had free room etc. were usually on the losing end, and they usually don't want to spend any money in the near future either if they've were on the losing end.

I have family & friends for experience on this, plus i get away with it this way with my wife, lol.

Some people will tell you ok whether they win or lose if they played well. It is just their way of not bragging. I'm a winning player but just say ok, since one days winnings or loss doesn't mean anything. I know in the long run that I'm playing with winnings not losses.

A lot of people will lie to themselves about it, but they more commonly say they are break even or a "small loser"

It can be any of those. He may have done "OK" which could mean he lost a little but they comped him dinner or he broke even or maybe even won a bit.

They also might have lost their rear and do not want to admit it. I guess if they wanted to tell you they would have and it isn't really your business beyond that.

Gamblers usually don't brag about thier accumulated losses. They all average about ten bucks an hour in the long run, handicappers etc
