the age difference is a big deal now-but later on it will mean nothing-in fact it will be better to have someone a little older or younger/ getting back to the present-he may expect certain things that you are not ready for /so you may want to call it quits or have the open door policy/in which you can still hang out/but you can both hang w/ others/that are your age / that will take the heat off/regarding pressure to drink have sex etc. because that's what most guys that age are looking to do/unless you find that rare gem/but you know the old saying(boys will be boys) and from my experience (same situation) many years ago/i was just not ready and felt forced-(that's what mom's worry about)my advice treasure 13-for as long as you can and meet up w/ him again when your older/ if it's meant to be he will be there in the end!

I don't mean to be rude or judgmental...I'm just thinking like a parent (which is what I am)...he is not too old, dear, you are way too young.
It is cool for you to be great friends with this guy but you are too young to be thinking about a serious relationship. Does your mother actually let you date?
Anyway, the rule of thumb should be that you only date guys in your age group (within 24 months). This means that if you are 16 you can date an 18 year old. Since you are 13 this would mean you could date a 15 year old, assuming your mother actually allows you to date.
When you turn 21 you can date any old man you please.

ahhhh yeah!!-- how about concentrating on school-- say this with me- -BOOKS B4 BABIES!!-- u will thank me later for that statement- wen u get older. Thats like saying i am six and i hav this 9 yr old "wrapped" around my finger-- ahhhhhhhhh no u dont!-- when u r 25- maybe, but not at this age. Ur mom should put a stop to that b4 things get out of hand. Pretty soon he is goin to say "baby- i want to be with u, but ur mom keeps butting n2 our business"- then u r goin to rebel against her-- and cause negativity, all b/c of a 16 soon to be 17-- look at american most wanted, or read a book, educate yourself. Then when u get older u will really hav something to offer a man-- not boy-- and it wont be ur body--good luck

Yes and no... Meaning right now yes. Because once he hits 18 and you are only 14 or 15, he can go to jail. Wait until you are 17 or 18 and then if the two of you still like each other go for it. he age difference is actully perfect for a relatioship, when you get older, just not yet.

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.

Yeah, he's definitely too old for you. A guy that age needs to be looking for girls his own age. Is there a reason he can't an attractive female closer to him in age? He's old enough to drive and you won't be old enough until three more years. Sometimes guys like dating younger females because they find it easier to get what they want because the younger females tend to idolize their "older" boyfriend because their own friends make a big deal out of it. You should be hanging out with people your own age and in 3 to 4 years you'll be old enough to date 16 year olds because you will be one of them. :-)

he's probably nervous cuz it sounds like he likes you too and when you're around other people maybe he feels like he's on the spot. i wouldn't say he's too old but hey, there's no rush. get to know each other before you do anything too serious
