Firstly forget politics out of this and talk ab religion. The word bible isnt even in the bible, so there begins the human fabrication, how can someone claim its the word of God if it was changed so much by humans. The New Testament was written 200 years after Jesus(pbuh) died and in a language he didnt even speak. Jesus didnt even call himself a christian(another fabrication). In the Bible Jesus predicted that ppl would worship in vain, "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." This verse, Matthew 15:9. Which is the true one. Why are there so many mistakes in the bible surely this cannot be attributed to God (e.g. of conflicting verses II Samuel 6:23 Genesis 6:3 John 5:37). Lastly i dont understand how christians can claim monotheism when they worship jesus and God, how can he be the Son of God and God at the same time this is the biggest contradiction. Would a true believer ask God why he has forsaken him, how did he talk to God(if hes God)

First of all the word bible is taken from the word biblio..(misspelled I don't knw) but the origin of the word is greek and it means book... so that is where the name came from...The NT was not written 200 years most of it was written within 20 years of the events, but that does not take away the credibility of the events...that would be like saying that if you were to write a book to tell of an event that you were a witness to , that it would be false because you waited so long to write it, now it could be said that you might get a mix up on the time something happened, ie ..you might say oh it was noon when in fact it was more around two oclock actually, but that does not take away the credibility of the story..In Matthew Jesus was quoting Isaiah the prophet..saying that he was right when he said "these people worship in vain, their teachings are but rules taught by man" which is true because most of the pharisees were only going through the motions and even added more "Laws" that that were originally given by God..I do not see where any of the verses you gave conflict with each other because none of them are related and do not mention the same subject..and lastly we are made in the image of God and I want to ask you are you not Spirit, Flesh and Soul? Three part being but all connected just as we are, you can not take only part of yourself and claim it as independent to itself ...And I want to ask you a question and maybe you can ponder this one...When God was creating man read Genesis 1:26...what does it say? Look at it closely? I will bring it up God said " let US make man in OUR image" hummm who was he talking to? Why he was talking to Jesus who was there from the beginning..maybe it would do you some good to read "The Case For Christ" by Lee Strobel..he was an athiest out to disprove the bible but instead found reason to believe. Hope this was proper enough for you.

The thing is, you can point out contradictions all day long and in the end you'll have wasted your time because christians refuse to acknowledge the contradictions. It is generally agreed that the 4 gosples *matthew mark luck and john* were all written between 30 and 200 years after jesus' supposed death. There is no historical evidence of him existing *and don't use Josephus...the one passage accredited to him acknowledging jesus has been proven an addition later on* and many of the events mentioned in the gosples aren't backed up with historical records *like Herod killing all the male babies...one would think such a tramatic and notable event would be recorded by anyone else...but no* Secondly, there is no evidence that Paul ever read the gosples and oftentimes misquotes what he believes jesus to have said and at other times flat out contradicts him.

I grew up hearing that the bible is the true word of god because in 2000 years it has remained the same through all the translations, even though it is obviously not true.

Where do you get 200 years, since it was written by the Apostles, all of whom were alive at the time of Christ, and with the exception of Paul knew him personally. Most mistakes in Bible versions relates to translation errors. Most versions have around 20,000 errors. There is only one translation recognized by the Library of Congress.

As for claiming Jesus is also God, that comes from the influence of mythology into Christianity. No where in any Bible does it say that Jesus is Almighty God. It does refer to him as a mighty god, which is one that is created and receives power from an Almighty God. References to the Book of John leaves out the fact that John used four different Greek spellings for the title word, god. Never does he use the same spelling in reference to Almighty God, when referencing The Word (Christ), Satan, or humans. He did use same spelling for god in referencing The Word, Satan, and men who thought of themselves as "a god." People really should buy a Greek Interlinear Translation of the New Testament. It can be bought at any religious book store.

We must study the Bible in order to find out God's plan. The Bible should be studied with an open mind. If we believe that it is inspired by God, we should also believe that He is capable of delivering His Word without error or contradictions, despite the different languages, writers, translations, geographic locations, and time frame. If we find something that appears to be a contradiction, we should try to figure out how "we" are interpreting it incorrectly, and change "our" beliefs to match His word. The divine predictions given centuries before concerning what would take place were frequently referred to by the apostles when they preached the gospel. These references have been divinely recorded for our assurance and conviction. Let us consider some of the astonishing prophecies of the Messiah's death, burial, and resurrection. (In the OT...)

The Bible was written two hundred years after Jesus' death? What are you talking about?

There is a papyrus fragment of John 18 that is dated to within 60 years after His death, burial, and resurrection! See it here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rylands_Library_Papyrus_P52

This was discovered in Egypt, and is dated at the turn of the first century (turning into the 2nd century) A.D. Because John lived in Ephesus at the time of writing his Gospel, for a copy of his Gospel to turn up in Egypt 30 years later, demonstrates a very early copy.

No one in their right mind can say that the New Testament was written 200 years after Jesus. And as to the language He spoke, it is highly likely that He did speak some Greek, as there were Hellenistic Jews that wanted to speak with Him in Jerusalem.

"Now some Greeks were among those who had come up to worship at the festival. They went to Philip (who was from Bethsaida in Galilee) and told him, "Sir, we would like to see Jesus." (John 12:20-21)

And it wouldn't matter if Jesus spoke Greek or not, as the disciples who wrote the Gospels did.

As far as Jesus being God, Jesus Himself made the claim that He is God. He applied the name of God, "I AM," to Himself in several passages. Here's a few examples: Matthew 14:27, Mark 6:50, Mark 13:6, Luke 21:8, John 4:26, John 6:20, John 8:24, 28, 58, and John 13:19. (Some English translations have mistranslated these verses for the sake of clarity, by changing the words from "I am" to "It is I," or "I am He.") There are several others I have not listed.

Jesus also received worship:

"Then the men in the boat began to worship Jesus, saying, "You certainly are the Son of God!" (Matthew 14:33)

"Suddenly Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" They went up to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him." (Matthew 28:9)

And as far as mistakes in the Bible, look to your own house, O Muslim, before you begin to point at the Christian Bible. Your Qur'an tells us with certainty that the sun goes down into a mud pit at night. According to Sura 18:86, the sun literally sets into a muddy spring or a black sea here on Earth and Sura 18:90 mentions a specific place on Earth where the sun rises. So, get over it!

Of course Jesus Christ wouldn't have called himself a christian (CHRISTian--get it?) it was the name for his followers. Good job finding the contradictions in the bible though--how about this one: God created Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve had three sons Cain Abel and Seth. Cain slew Abel and then he and Seth went out and found wives--since there were no other people on the planet, what did they marry? Chimpanzees? Since the bible was written by 50 different men, it's no surprise that there are contradictions--the surprise is that they kept the same main character all the way through (god) And even that is debatable when we get to your trinity question--easy answer : God has a very severe case of multiple personality disorder. Sybil, are you in there?

Wow that is a lot of very heavy questioning for one question.

Let's look at Matthew 15:9 in context:

"You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:

8 " 'These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.

9 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.' [c]"

10 Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand. 11 What goes into your mouth does not defile you, but what comes out of your mouth, that is what defiles you."

12 Then the disciples came to him and asked, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?" "

Jesus was referring to leaders who were misleading His People.

GOD Book is made of three chapters: The Old Testament, The new Testament and Quran as a conclusion all originated from the middle east. How can you understand GOD LAWS with out reading GOD Conclusion?
Read what God is saying about the issue:
"Say: we believe in God and in what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il: Isaac, Jacob and The Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another, among them, and to God do we bow our will (in Islam)." (Qur'an, Al-Imran 3:84)
