Put up half of your hair for a different style, or get a body wave

That is exactly how my hair is. Long and staight and flat. Here's what I do... I wash my hair with any kind of extra body shampoo, which I don't really think they actually work, but then I get one of them round brushes, one with the really scratchy bristles, I'm not sure what they're called, but it's not the one with the little balls on the end of the bristles, its the one that will scratch the **** out of you. Then I blow dry my hair using that brush. It actually adds a lot of volume. But try not to put your hair up at all. When I leave my hair out, the hairbow makes alot of my hair fall out, which can't be good for tryin to add volume. It may also help if you get a haircut.

You might concider adding layers to your hair to lighten up it's weight problem. Long hair has gravity working against it. So, unless you remove some of the weight, gravity will pull it down.

You can also turn your head upside down and spray hair spray to the roots of your hair to add volume. DO NOT Brush in a pulling downward motion after you've done this.

i'm asian and my hair was totally flat...it never worked for me...even thou i have thick hair...the top would be flat...but now...i have layered my hair (especially the crown part, layers make the top part have a lil more volume)...

i use paul mitchell extra body shampoo and conditioner (when you put in conditioner...make sure it stays at the end of your hair...not on top)...but you could buy ANY hair products that adds volume...

then after washing it...i use SMALL TALK by bedhead...this product gives you more volume and shine...(put it when damp) and dry hair...

then i use GOT2B (2 sexy mousse) and blow dry hair...now when you blow dry your hair...make sure you lean forward and blow dry it (this makes your hair "lighter" when you blow dry and it adds volume...

after all that you get to style your hair however you want...and thenlast part is hair spray...i use paul michell extra body finishing spray (i usually spray it on the crown part to add an oooomph up there...

there are tons of awesome products that aren't expensive either...

for hair spray i also like BIGSEXYHAIR and HARDHEAD by bedhead...

also shampoo there's BIGSEXYHAIR and AUSSIE...

the hair products after the wash there's paul mitchell extra-body daily boost too...

(and to make the look more dramatic...i use biosilk at the very end so it's silky and it's not as fluffy on the bottom)...i hope this helps you...good luck...

go to sleep with wet hair. Put it up in the style you feel most comfortable with. In the morning when you wake up your hair will stay that way.
Or you could use a very stiff hairspray (trail and error will tell which one is best for you)
Or get a body perm
