i have heard that karate is a martial art, and too me it is in my eyes but i wanna know for sure if it is. I take okinawa karate( shuri ryu) and i find it effective and i dont see how its not a martial art but whats ur input

Absolutely dude, I would consider it at least a Martial Art if not a Combat Art. and it's very effective as is most any other Martial Art being studied today

Of course Karate is a martial art. It was one of the first disciplines invented.

Abolutely...Karate in one from or another is the main one studied in Japan, followed closely by Aikido.
