never heard from. yet, they continue give money to, and even worship this possible person. I'm here on earth, I exist, I'm real, and yet if people worship me, and give me money, its called a cult and I am a bad person who should be locked away. Why?

You're not the way, the truth, or the life.

It's interesting that non-believers wonder at the extensive belief in Jesus, but never connect it to the possibility that He was and is our Savior. I believe that this truth is indeed written on our hearts and denying it leads to emptiness. Still, my faith can't help your lack thereof.

Cheesy and commercialized as it may be, He loves you. Peace.

You may be happy to hear that I don't believe in God, or anyone/anything that I can't see or speak with. By the same token, I don't believe in the devil for the same reasons. If you're selling the devil, you won't have much luck in our world. It's the "good vs. evil" thing, and people like to believe that ultimately things can and will be good! Anyhow, just so long as you don't expect this atheist to sell his soul to the devil, you're okay in my book! And by all means, leave the innocents (the children, ANY children!) alone! Wait until they establish for themselves what they deem to be good and evil! It's VERY OKAY for me if children are "corrupted" by being told about God at an early age! It is against all that is good to corrupt children with what I believe YOU may be selling!!! Why would anyone want to "worship" you or money anyway?! If they do, they must somehow have some kind of evil in them to begin with!! Wow, I NEVER thought I would ever agree with Christians on ANYTHING!!! But someone like you makes me rethink my ways!!!

Do you believe gravity does or does not exist?
Ever seen it.
Can you see the effects of it?
Does you observation of those effects influence whether or not you believe in gravity?
Just for the sake of argument, let's say that it were possible for you to have lived all these yrs without having noticed those effects. Maybe you took them for granted or grew up on a space ship, whatever. Would the fact that you were not aware of gravity mean that gravity did not exist? Gravity exists whether or not you and I agree about it or acknowledge it.
So Does God. Even if YOU do not see the effects of him.

For the overwhelming majority of people on this planet, life sucks. It's a living hell. Believing that all we see and experience is actually all there is is so depressing that without something else, fanciful to believe in we'd all be offing ourselves left and right. I am so happy for all of you who have enough of everything you need and want without working too hard for it that life as you know it makes you just chipper, but for the single mom working two fast food jobs and bartending two nights a week to take care of her kids while her ex-husband, who hospitalized her a couple times, is getting released from prison, calling and threatening her, believing in a god who protects her is the only thing keeping her from having a complete nervous collapse. Ever think about other people? or is empathy just for us neopagans?

It’s easy just like I believe you have a penis. I believe it’s the smallest one in the world maybe even smaller that the average clit but I bet its there
God I hate you and every stupid thing you stand for!
Why don’t you look up the word "Faith" and then give it some thought. Some people find that the word of god makes life seem less insane. It makes Sense to them, it makes perfect sense to them, in fact

I just think of these people as weak minded with no scope of reality. Science is catching up to the church, but still they deny what has been shown. Even my brother said to me last-night. Science is all a scam by people trying to make more money off of their beliefs. I was frustrated and couldn't even respond without laughing. Nice question.

People need something to believe in, so that they do not have to admit that we are alone in the Hel* and there IS no "greater" power to care for us. The truth is too scary for most, so they are in denial. And yes, can you imagine if someone in THIS year, claimed to be the "son of God" ? He's be thought of as wacked out and quite possibly be put away for evaluation.

There are two separate questions here. First, why do we believe in God? Second, why can't you just "claim" to be the Son of God? In answer to the first question, I have never seen the wind yet I feel its power and see the evidence its existence. The same is true with God. We see His power at work in creation, and in our own lives. We see the evidence of His existence. He says "if you seek me with all your heart, you WILL find me."

In answer to the second question, you can claim to be the Son of God but there are hundreds of Old Testament descriptions of the Son of God. We would have to evaluate your claim in the same way we have evaluated the claims of Jesus of Nazareth. In your case, we would have to conclude you were a nut case. In His case, we have to acknowledge He is and was who He claimed to be!!

I've seen, spoken to and heard from God.

I don't give God my money, I give it in support of the church, under God's direction.

I worship God because He is real and perfect. I don't worship you because you are imperfect and in the same sinful boat I am.

JOHN20:27-29
Then saith he to Thomas reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands;and reach hither thy hand and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless but believing.
And Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord and my God.
Jesus said to him,Thomas because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet they believed.

That was after Jesus was resurrected.

And one more, John10:14-15(or 2)
I am the good shepherd,I know my sheep, and am known of mine.
As the Father knoweth me,even so I know the Father, and I lay down my life for my sheep.

Worship is only for God darling, God Bless.
But I think the answer you're looking for is faith.
