Please note that Deuteronomy is in the Old Testament. And no, that does not mean everything in the Old Testament is outdated (example: ten commandments), but there are certain things which Christians do not have to conform to these days.
For example, to answer your question about eating pork: recall if you will the story of Peter and Cornelius. Cornelius was a Roman soldier who was told by God that he should ask Peter - a Jew - to come to his house. As we know, Jews and Gentiles were unfriendly with one another. But Cornelius, being a godly man, sent servants to fetch Peter. Meanwhile, Peter had a vision in which God showed him many "unclean" animals and told him to kill them and eat them. Of course, Peter asked why, since they were unclean. God spoke again and said he had made them clean. Now of course, we know - and Peter soon realized - that this was symbolic of God "cleansing" the Gentiles so that they too could believe. But i think the story of the unclean food holds true as well.
Of course, the best person to ask would be a pastor or other church leader. they could probably tell you better than i.

Do not bind the Old Testament Law to the New Testament Law. The law of Moses has been eradicated by the Law of Christ. All things are good for food. In the book Genesis, God instructed Adam to eat the meat of an animal not just vegetables only. Pork or Pig is an animal too given to us to be eaten as directed. Read the books of Roman Chapter 8, and you will see the answer clearly.

There is a verse in the New Testament which states that the old covenant is no longer. But, those religions who do follow the old dietary laws of the Bible (such as Seventh Day Adventists) have been found to not only live longer, but healthier as well. (Pork is not the only food the Bible says no to eating.) SDA's have little to no problems with heart disease or diabetes, as well as very little health problems, period. So, I think God was giving us the dietary laws help us keep our physical body healthy.
Now if only I would practice this myself, I know my cholesterol levels would come down.

I have never eaten pork and I will never eat it till i die one day.

Pork stays in dirt and it's forbidden in the bible and the Qur'an.

There's a reason why God forbids you to eat it. When you die, God will judge you about it.

I give you a simple example: You know smoke cigarettes can affect your health. But some people loves to smoke because it's too good and addicted to them. But inside they don't know that those cigarette is ruining their body inside. Some people gets cancer caused by smoking.

So pork has the bad side too that people don't want to know. Just want to keep eating it. And later get sick or die from diseases that they don't even know where they got that from.

God just warn us to stay away from pigs. So now it's your choice to follow it or not follow it.

I'm a Christian and I don't eat pork. It is generally thought that Jesus and later Paul disavowed the Old Testament, thereby making those commands void. They did not. Only the practice of sacrifice was made void by the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus. Man had so perverted the sacrifice of animals for their sins and the priests had so perverted their office that God no longer accepted the sacrifice of animals for a sweet savor. Jesus became that sacrifice: the Lamb without spot. Commandment concerning what could or could not be eaten were given for the health and longevity of God's people. I think those principles still apply to our health and longevity and so continue to follow them. There are also some Christians who believe that because these commands were given to Israel, God's people, they do not apply to Christians, followers of Jesus Christ. I beg to differ. The stranger walking with Israel and living as Israel are also God's people. Jesus and God are one. Never, not once, did Jesus contradict the word of God. He was the Word.

It used to be that way under the law ..but under grace God has given we can eat any meat..1 Timothy 4:1-5
1. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3. Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5. For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

It is not the eating of meats or new moons or even the sabbath day that any can judge us by..and the fact that the law was never made to save man the law was made to let man know sin existed ..and was exceeding sinful..God bless

It is one of the tenets of the Mosaic Law, which the people of God - the Jewish people - were bound to observe under the Old Covenant. Under the New Covenant we are freed from most such rules and regulations. Jesus taught that "it is not what goes into a man that makes him unclean, but what comes out of him".

we are no longer under the law, we have a new covenant.
Hebrews 8:6,7,13 ...He [Christ] is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. For if that first covenant [the Law of Moses] had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second....In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Why do you not read the entire bible before quoting it. Peter was on a rooftop and hungered. God appeared to him in a vision and spread all manner of food before him and bade him eat. Peter replied he couldn't eat it because it was unclean, and God told Peter that everything He made was clean and good to eat.
