Hi my name is andrea terwilleger i am writing to seek legal advice. I have a daughter Ariana whom is four years old, i met my ex boyfriend Travis when my daughter was two years old, My relationship with Travis lasted 1 year and 6 months. We separated in October of 2005. It has been almost 1 year now. When we first separated i allowed him to visit with ariana about once a month so that i could slowly separate them. After 6 months i informed him that the visits would stop because i knew that my daughter was ready to move on now. I had thought that it would be a shock to her if i just separated them in the very beginning. Travis is not the biological father of Ariana. On Thursday 9/28/06 a private detective whom Travis had hired, approached me at my daughters school and informed me that i had a court date for a child custody hearing on 9/29/06 at 8:30am.i appeared and The judge granted this man temporary visitation rights until the trial date 11/25/06 what can i do to stop these visits

there reallly isnt anything u can do.. just make sure when it is his vistation u let him have her cuz if u dont and he calls u in they can take u to jail and then u wont get her at all.. my brother went through the same thing and u would be suprised what kinda rights other ppl could get... he didnt let his ex girlfriend who isnt his babys mom have her one day and she called the cops and they took him to jail and now even though she isnt the babys mom she still gets one weekend a month with the baby b/c she was in her life for like a year..

If the court allowed it, you cannot do anything until the actual trial. Don't do anything dumb like leave with her and go against the courts orders, thats a good way to lose her yourself.

Talk to an actual lawyer, see if maybe there is a group of legal workers in your area who would be willing to work at no cost. Call all the lawyer offices in your phone book and explain your situation. Good luck!

nothing until the court date but if he is not the biological father then he really has no rights unless you allowed him to adopt her but if he loves her and is good to her then why dont you want him to see her??
