Simple.
You both watch the x factor together, and then you could go down to the pub afterwards and discuss the contestants. Warning; Some of them are useless.
Oh well, they have got their 15 Min's of fame.........

You want to stop her from watching the x factor and you also DONT want her to come to the pub...the answers obvious.. let her watch the xfactor.

Well take her out for dinner or something, that would sound much more appealing than "to the pub" to me, she is probably thinking yeh yeh going to watch him and his yobbish friends drink pints.. how fun!! You have put something in it for her. Say dinner, then dancing, champagne, something like that. Then you might have a chance.

They repeat it through out the week on ITV 2 get her to watch it then or invest in sky plus then she can record and watch it when she gets back or if telewest they have the watch again facility,or you could just wait as its finished by half eightish

Cut the power, and claim you've had a power cut. Then she'll be like "ho hum, I'm bored... might as well go down the pub"
