I'm finally accepting I will need a new car w/in the next 6 months or so. My current car is a '97 Dodge Stratus and I have been happy with it. However, I do not want to buy another one. I'm trying to figure out what car would be a good next purchase. I am wanting a sedan, not a hatchback, that gets decent gas milege (more than 30mpg on highway). Because I'm used to the size of a Stratus I would like a car to be roomy on the inside. I've been looking at just about everything trying to get a feel for various cars. Ideally I'd love to get a Toyota but my price range is between 10-12thousand. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I don't think you could go wrong with a toyota they are a great and reliable car with great milage also , I would recommend the toyota camry and you can find up to a 2003 model year in the price range. In yahoo auto search for my area I found a nice 2001 with only 48,000 miles for 11,999.00 . I also seen 2002 models and 2003 models in this price range . For the gas milage your looking for I would recommend buying one with the 2.4 liter engine which will provide 32-33 miles per gallon . For example purposes I've provide links with photos , prices and descriptions below . Good luck in your search !

Toyota Corollas are supposed to be excellent cars as far as reliability, gas mileage, and price. I would check them out! You may find a fairly newer one in your price range, and this time of year is a good time to buy! Good luck...
