True. They can be scent trained for anything at all. A box of crayons, a television set, absolutely anything. Even if it seems to be odorless to us, the dogs can smell it. All they realize is when they alert to whatever target they've been trained to detect, they get their reward, usually a few minutes of playing with their best toy. They don't usually use food rewards.

True ,,,,, Bears have a smell sensitivity of like 1000 to 1150 ,,,,,,, Dogs have much less ,,,,,, only something like 400 but that is 400 times more than human sensitivity ,,,,,, Dogs are trained to recognize the substances that law enforcement personnel are looking for ,,,,,,, You might say they have a nose for the business so to speak lol

Yep!!! they are trained to sniff out a certain scent or combination of scents... all for a playtoy. Now if I can just train my G/F to react like that when I cook curry ...
