hate pigs so much? Why so much hatred for that animal? I understand Koran says pig is an unclean animal. Ok its unclean so why so much hatred towards it? Why get so offensive if someone talks about pigs? Lol I just dont get it!!!!
Someone please help me understand.

Do you know why pigs are unclean? Because they are scavengers. Unlike in modern times, where pigs are raised on vegetables and grain and such, pigs were left to scavenge everything they could, including waste.
Unlike cows, pigs only have one stomach (umm, maybe two), so what they eat is not processed and turns into fat. Their meat is unhealthy for those who do not eat the pig raised on a farm.
This is why not only Muslims but Jews consider the pig to be unclean. They use the reference also for anyone who is "rotten", like we would call someone a filthy rat.

Why should we hate it, a pig is an animal created by God just like any other animal, I've never seen one but I do not hate them, we are only forbidden to eat them and I just read in one of the posts minutes before yours that the old Testament also forbids Christians from eating pig,check it out.

Ummmm you're confused. Muslims don't HATE pigs. Puhhhlllease!!!
FYI:
The Old Testament, The Torah and The Qur'an all say that the consumption of Pig is forbidden because until fairly recently in history, Pigs carried dieses in their bloodstream which killed humans. None of the religions hate the animal, they're protecting themselves against the illnesses that could be associated with consuming the flesh and meat of the animal because it is unclean.
Do some research on your own, hopefully that'll help you out.

The best way to learn about other religions is to read their teachings and find out.
I think its because pigs-literally-roll around in their own $h*T. Think about it....7th Day Adventests also dont eat pork.
I know some 'muslims' where the women dont wear the headscarf, some even eat a little pork; sausage on pizza picked off, etc. They also put up christmas trees because they are pretty to decorate-wacky friends! They are pretty 'american' in their ways-total blending of culture. I also know some who are devout-they have a different way of living. Their religion is a big part of their daily life, praying, fasting on holidays, the foods they choose to eat, etc.
Hatred? I dont understand that word and its true meaning, not a part of my life.

It is the FLESH of the pig that they think is a problem. Since pigs traditionally live in and eat filth as a regular thing, the Muslim faith as well as the Hebrew faith consider the meat to be unclean.

I'm not sure about Muslims but in the Old Testament, God gave many instructions, not necessarily to make us miserable but in order that we remain healthy. Pork is a meat that is easily contaminated, with worms, etc. In the OT times, they did not have a good way of preserving meat, refrigeration, etc. It was not because the pig was bad. Anyway, in the NT, God said that it is not what you put in your mouth that contaminates you but what comes out of your mouth (and heart) that is sinful. Pork is nowadays very easy to keep safe but for a long time it wasn't. The Jews (and probably Muslims) still go by the law of the OT since they don't recognize the New covenant.

Well we don't hate the pig.It's just against our laws to eat,sell or use the flesh of the pig.I get where u might feel we hate the pig but it's just that going against something in religion is something we strive not to do.So we associate ourselves as far away from it as possible.Some people end up hating the pig,that's all.

It's a belief from the past. There is no reason to hate pigs in the modern world. Pork meat like chicken needs to be cooked thoroughly, other than that, it is an undeserved discrimination that is only based on religious belief.

Pigs are dirty animals, the Bible says is too. I doubt they have hatred towards pigs, they simply do not eat them.

I've never seen them react like that to the mention of pigs !! they just don't eat it - neither do jews I think-
They say it has to do with the fact that they lived in the desert and pork meat breeds too many bacterias in hot weather and then it evolved to become religious.
