You are right about that. And Satanists do indeed try to convert people to their religion. If they didn't, you'd never see a copy of a "Satanic Bible" for sale anywhere. By contrast, Zoroastrians, Amish, and Lebonese Druse never try to convert anybody, and you have to be born into these religions to be a member. Satanists will tell you all about their religion and how to become one. There's the difference. Even though they don't go door to door like JW's, they have their own ways of "evangelizing".
The reason they aren't more agressive about it, is because most people are scared of crazy people, and Satanists do things most normal people find psychotic. Things such as these (Satanic Rituals/Lavey, yes I read it):
A human leg bone or arm bone is used in Homage to Tchort ritual (p.137)
Woman dressed as nun urinates before group into a bedpan in the Black Mass ritual (p.43)
Urine is then sprinkled like holy water (p.44)
Man climbs into coffin with nude woman (or nude man if he is gay) in Le Epais ritual (p.59).
Nude girl is used as an altar (Satanic Bible, Satanic Rituals)
A human skull is used in Die Elektrischen Vorspiele ritual (Satanic Rituals, p. 109)
Or cannibalism (LaVey's "cannibal feast" of a human leg, Church of Satan/Barton(LaVey?), Secret Life of a Satanist/Barton (LaVey?), Satan Wants You/Lyons
It isn't a positive religion, and in fact, most people are scared by the idea. Satanists going to door would probably get the cops called on them. So Satanism recruits in other ways.
If you don't tell anyone you're a Satanist, if you don't sell the Satanic Bible on ebay with a big speil about "Dr. LaVey" (who was actually a High School Dropout) , if you don't wear your Baphomet necklaces in public, if you don't have internet webpages, etc., then you won't be evangelizing. Didn't LaVey complain about Satanitsts who "put on their Baphomets and go out to Denny's", anyway?

Yep. You are exactly right. I've done a lot of in depth studying and known members of that church. I have all of their books. He found the book "Might is Right" and read it and noticed that the copyright had expired. After some research, he found that there was no true copyright holder, so he copyrighted it again in his name. He plagarizes it severely for the Satanic bible. You can even tell the portions he has written to "fill it out" because they are much less intelligent than Ragnar Redbeard's statements.
Laveyan Satanism is nothing more than a commercial play off of Christianity. If they really wanted to make sincere points against Christianity in order to help people understand their viewpoints, they would not have absorbed the name of Satan and tried desperately to create rituals that would give shock value to their path. They could have called it anything and tried to educate people against the flaws of Christianity.
Unfortunately, his brand of Satanism is little more than a whiney, immature way to rebel instead of actually trying to make the world a better place.

Good question! Anton Lavey was/is an a avowed atheist who used the devil to separate other atheists from their Christian upbringing. He used billboards and posters as well as ads in newspapers to get out his message. He definitely was "evangelizing" to people, using sex, drugs and rock & roll to bring them in. He pushed a hedonistic message, proclaiming that we should live it up now, because the afterlife consists of nothing but becoming worm food. He was completely wrong of course. He did use his skills as an ex-carny to real in the suckers though. Interesting to think of that as "evangilism", but I think it qualifies.

No. Atheists believe in no god at all. Satanists like Anton Lavey and his followers worship satan as their god.
I've never seen Lavey on TV and hope I never do. If he came on I would definitely change the channel.

I've met a couple... they never evangelized or proselytized. They didn't dress alike at all and I didn't even know they were Satanists till I had known them for over a year. And even then they didn't do any of that stuff. But then, there's sects within all religions like that and people love to use that against everyone. lol

confident we've self belief in it, it exists, and there are a range of human beings that follow it reminiscent of we've self belief in Christianity, yet we do not have self belief what Christians have self belief, yet we've self belief Christians exist,. Atheists don't have self belief in devil although, yet Anton Lavey probable existed.

Ok, this argument can be made for Satanist, Atheist, Christians, Islamics, Harry Christnas, Buddist, Jews, shall I keep on going? The basic thing comes into what you believe sweetie. Everyone has thier own belief system and trys to convince the world that they have the right slant on it when the fact it is and lets all face this one please, no one knows for sure until we get there.
