Nooooo, leave them alone. That's his body's way of protecting itself. What it does is that it's localizing the area, and the liquid in those little pimples has substances to neutralize the toxins that the ants put in. popping them will only complicate matters because you'd get rid of the liquid that's supposed to neutralize the toxin, and you'll also make a way for bacteria to enter his skin and cause an infection.

Check out those ants. Be sure they are not Fire ants. He must have gotten into a mound to have so many bites.

They may not have been, or he may have been in stress. They can kill if one is allergic.

My late wife almost died from Fire Ants. Her brain was swelling, and she was unconscious when I got her to the hospital. Long ago.

Fire Ants are a bit larger than small red ants. They move very fast. They build very large mounds and live in deep tunnels.

They can kill small animals. They don't sting one at a time. They sting in unison as a large group. Very painful. Swelling usually occurs.
They enter young calves, through every orifice, and sting all at one time. The calf usually dies.

The damned things love electricity. They flood any outside electric box and usually short it out. If you have any of those, be careful when it's opened. They still sting, even under water. They don't let go.

Don't pop the bites as they can infect. If they look too bad, go to a DR.

They hurt when you pop them and then leave scars, I got bit by 50 of them on my feet in July and I washed it with cold water and soap for the swelling and then I put a paste of baking soda and let it dry for the itch, I did pop mine and it hurt like hell, and this fluid comes out, it really hurts to pop them and then it scars.

Definitely not. Wash the area thoroughly with soap and water. Call your doctor and ask him what to do. It may be an allergic reaction to the ants. Benadryl might help, but call the doctor first.

No closed the skin protects against infection. The same is true for a burn blister.

It's just like acne. Don't pop, it spreads the poison around.
