God assures him that "They won't kill you, for I will give seven times your punishment to anyone who does." (Avenged Sevenfold) This passage means a great deal to me, and I intend to have a tattoo of "A7X" done to remind me that it is not my place to determine my fate, only God can. My question is where should I place this tattoo. I am a female so some places are obviously out of the question. It is worth noting that I suffer from manic-depression, and anyone who knows the tug-of-war your mind plays during a depressive state can appreciate the importance this passage and its meaning have in my life. Thank you for any serious input.

Tattoo it in your mind so you will never forget it.

Live this ideal and pray you will always remember that you are in God's hands. Many problems in life are a test, God asking you do you trust me. He wants us to depend upon him and pray for his strength and guidence.

If you turn your life over to God and live knowing that God is guiding you moment by moment, then you will never forget.

If you belive this, then what do you need the tattoo for?

A tattoo will never change your life, but living for God will!

YOU DETERMINE YOUR FATE, GOD DOES NOT. God already has everything planned out for your life, but you are given free-will to be able to determine whether you accept or reject Him and that plan. If you reject Him, then there are serious consquences. God wants you to turn to Him in that time of manic-depression. Everything is mind games, why do you think Satan attacks only the mind? Its because your mind controls your body, when your mind is infected the whole body is infected. YES it can be a chemical imbalance in your body(which are bodies are not genetically pure, because of sin).

By the decisions and choices people make determines there everlasting home of eternity. Personally, I would not get a tattoo because your body is a Temple of the Holy Spirit, you should respect it as a gift from the Lord. God isn't going to condemn you for it and neither should people. It will not send you to Hell.

Cain could still be killed. God was saying that a greater punishment would come to that individual or group of people who would kill him. That marking is just a warning to anyone who intended or was about to kill him. Which I believe that the other people on the Earth were given an "extra eye or sight" to be able to see that mark and recognize what it stands for. When I say extra eye, not a physcial eye, but a way to recognize the mark.

While the A7X may mean something to you, it will not mean anything to others. If it is a reminder you need then instead of a tattoo consider putting this icon on a piece of paper and place it in the coin pocket of your purse...or any other spot where you will see it on a regular basis.

Personally, I'd go with something more upbeat, but to each his/here own.

Although I completely am on board with your appreciation and trust in God, I just want to tell you something. On Valentine's Day one year I wanted to get a heart tattoo with my man's name across it, BUT my brain argued with itself and I realized I didn't want to get a man's name on my body with out God's also. So they are both very small, but I got the cross on the base of my neck and actually told the artist, God is first in my life so I cannot get a name with out my faith in Him not being represented also. HOWEVER, that same year I read in the bible, DO NOT PUT ANY PRINTS OR MARKINGS UNDER YOUR SKIN. I looked up to heaven and apologized praying He would know that I didn't know that, but I cannot turn back time. These bodies belong to him, honor him by not hurting it. TATTOOS HURT>:) Lord, please forgive me, I truly didn't know, I wish someone had told me! But it is your choice, free will.

I think you should hold off on the tattoo for now. Wait a month or 2 and see if you still want it. You don't want to make a rash decision about something permanent.

I know the Bible says not to mark the body (like tattoos) so I would say not to do it.
