I am trying to think of names. What do you think of these names: Delaney, Abbie, Libby, Macy, Nora. Which one is your favorite?? If you have any other name suggestions please let me know. Thanks. I kind of want to name it a human name not a wierd name like buttercup.

OK--since the Schnauzer is a German breed, why not a German girl's name--so many dogs have human names nowadays. My little soft-coated Wheaton terrier which is an Irish name has the Irish name Aine (pronounced Awn-ye) and it fits her just fine--it is the Irish form of Hannah/Ann/Anna which means joy and happiness. Maybe you can find a name at the site below which will fit your new pup.

I like Nora, personally. It's unique.
I like the suggestion of a German name, too. Perhaps Greta or Gretchen ('pearl')? I think that would fit a schnauzer quite well. Here's some other suggestions:
Alannah means 'precious'.
Emma means 'complete, whole'.
Lenna means 'strength of a lion'.
Ida means 'hard worker'.
Hilda means 'warrior woman'.
All of these are German origin.
