Hair is an outgrowth of the skin. It grows rapidly in relation to most other tissue types (although the hair itself is, of course, dead).

All rapidly-growing tissues such as skin and hair benefit from a good balanced diet but in particular require Vitamin B. This is because cellular division and reproduction requires a healthy metobolism within the cells and the Vitamin B complex is required for these processes.

So to answer your question - a balanced healthy diet with plenty of Vitamin B.

Absolutely! Food with a high essential fatty acid content like cold water fish and avacados and we all know that alot of water helps too! I have noticed that my hair and nails get great when I'm consistently exercizing. Ofcourse good skin care and enough sleep and a low-tox diet. I was blown away at what drinking carrot juice did for my skin! I bought a juicer and my whole life changed. I felt better in every way! I'm so glad that you asked this question, because it reminds me of the good things that I need to do! My skin sucks right now and I have really not been taking good enough care of myself! Oh yeah... Keep your colon healthy! there aren't many people that wouldn't benefit from daily metamucil or citrucil. There is a strong relationship between your colon and your skin. In general just aim healthy! Love, Cindy
