She was in my school, then with me in my 11th and 12th. We even did B.E. from the same college. We were at first casual frinds and then went on to become the best of friends in B.E. sharing everything. We fell in love while we were doing our engg. We wanted to marry each other after a few years of work so that both could be settled, but fate had it otherwise, we are from different castes, and her parents are too narrow minded to see what their daughter wanted. They began threatening her of suicide if she didn't leave me. She had no other choice but to leave me. I undestand her. I knew I had to leave her too but couldn't. Noticing this, she started to avoid me, to show tha she is over me and doesn't care a bit for me. But I know better. To make me hate her so that I can move on with my life she stopped talking to her best friend who incidentally was my cousin and her classmate in B.E. Now, no matter how much i try to get myself out of her life I can't forget her. How do I get over her?

Hey guys, thanks for the fast response. Most of you said to to move on, to forget her, to get over her. My question is exactly that. How do I? I know she loves me, and she leaving me was not under her control although she tries to portray that. Don't tell me to go in for lot of alcohol. I never drank it b4 we broke up and have done that since and know that it's completely immature to think it'll solve my problems. I know time is the healer. But until that time, can any of you guys assist me in leading a normal life? Thanks in advance.

From what you are saying you don't have a choice, I feel very sad for you. You are just going to have to move forward and begin dating. You are unfortunately just going to have to accept the fact that this is how it is going to be. No matter how painful. God will send you someone, their are many great young ladies in the world. And especially looking for a good hearted and sensitive man, like the one that you seem to be by the sound of this question. Good luck , And God Bless.

She let her parents dictate what she should do and so she has lost you. She shouldn't have done that. You need to remember that when you think of her. Associate thoughts of her with her last action toward you (leaving) and get started on a new path one that does not include her, and promotes you having a better life by yourself. If she ever changes her mind without you telling her anything or contacting her, that would be something else, up to you if you forgive, but I think you should just move on. She hurt you and left you alone. You can and must forget her. Give it time.

Life is composed of turmoils and moments when you feel you cant get through. But theres hope. She apparently still loves you. But its whats happening in her life right now. So be patient if you love her that much wait for her and prove to her parents that you are the right man for their daughter. Dont give on her and run away because it will haunt you for the rest of your life. Keep your feet on the ground and keep your eyes on the horizon.

Forget her, just forget her. It'll hurt more than anything you can think of, but you have to. After a while, things will be better, and you'll be back to normal. Hopefully,

Good Luck.

Well your life sounds better than mine!
In my opinion, sitution like this is easier than how to get a lover back.
Find out why, do some thinking, and come out a solution.

Don't worry kid, it'll be fine.

I'd say elope with her!!

Tell her that you still love her madly and that you marry her no matter what!!

Make sure to borrow a fast car when you take her away.....

And most definitively don't get drunk or wasted, you need to keep your head cool to plan the wedding.........
