Me and my best friend of 10 months share everything, even intimacy on a regular basis. Lately, feelings have been getting involved and the friendship is hard to deal with. I now want a relationship, and he doesn't. I pushed the issue until he just quit calling, texting, emailing, etc. How do I get rid of these feelings and get my friend back?

You can't be "friends" with anyone you're attracted to you unless there's an impediment to the relationship (like he's married to your sister or something). Eventually you'll go at it like rabbits. You can however be lovers but understand there'll never be a proper commitment or formal relationship.

That last one is where you are now. Only he wants to keep it like that and you don't. You need to accept the relationship as he wants it and cope with your feelings on his terms, or end the relationship. You'll never get rid of any of your feelings for him whilst you still see him and like him, whether you continue to sleep with him or not.

Balance gets disturbed when one forces something on his/her partner. You're forcing your feelings on him and he is unable to feel what you do. Love is like balance if you try to make things faster you push your partner away. If you show less interest then surely your partner will be more attentive. The more you chase, more he'll try to be away. Be a good friend and genuine friend first. A true friendship is first step towards true relationship. If you want relationship then be with him in thick and thin. One day he'll come and say what you want but it takes time of which i cannot tell neither anyone can. I think it is handy information how much i could try to understand from your problem.

At this point its a touch and go situation. I mean you've already had sex so now he's probably gonna keep on expecting it to happen without a commitment. Sounds like for him its only gonna be a friends w/benifits relationship and nothing else.I would'nt give in to him just to keep his friendship. No guy is worth belittling yourself over. If the frienship is really that important to you, just tell him you wanna just be friends w/no intimacy.

All you can do is try to talk to your friend. Im sorry youre going thru this. It must be tough. I would say that you shouldnt have taken the friendship that far, cuz in most cases it will almost always ruin the friendship.

I hope you two can work it all out and get back to where your friendship originally was. I wish you the best of luck.
